An iconic American actor. I didn’t realize he was Serbian. He was a part of so many important American films and on television.

It's so wonderful to see the other actors and actresses give him the respect and recognition he deserves. Karl Malden was a truly great actor and even though he made many great movies, to me he will always be "Lieutenant Michael "Mike" Stone".

I'm glad that he lived long enough to see that people appreciated his body of work.

I'll say-- his Streets of San Francisco series has been (and is) one of a select few series I've gotten on DVD lately (I've gotten a good many) that I've seen all the way through and that has passed with flying colors with me, it was that good!

A great man, a great Serbian patriot, brilliant actor! Man who never forgot his native Serbian language, man who was, as you can hear, proud being a Serb! Not just he, but many successful people in the USA were/are Serbs - Nikola Tesla, Mihajlo Pupin, Milla Jovovich, George Vojinovic, Sasha Alexander, etc...

There's a village in Serbia where his parents came from the men all had the same shape and size of nose ,I met a Serbian in the UK who also has that same shape and size and he told me that he came from a next village but a distant relative of Mladen what a small world. Karl never hid his Serbian roots he acted in a Yugoslav film speaking Serbian also a good actor.

When war broke out in Yugoslavia in 1991, I was told by the late Nick Trkla that he implored Karl Malden to speak out against the rabid Serbophobia of the media and western governments. It continues even today (2017). Malden told Nick " You don't understand show business".

I`m from Austrian. mostly i knoe Karl fron, od course, the streets, yeah and one or the other move. In may ranking of crime series ist Kojak in front of the streets, which mahns place #1 and #2 and behind it`s dry But Kalr is the way much better and recogniceable actor as Telly was. However, I`m not that old, but with the crime seires of nowadays, I can`t connect. There is to mcu Hightech, and to much of everything in the scrip exept a authentic following story as screened in the 70s.
