In May of this year, I got the chance to see his work in Stockbridge. It was unbelievable. There's something so captivating by his brush strokes. Truly transcendental

This video was suggested by KZbin. So I’m grateful as I haven’t heard of this artist before. I love his loose stokes contrasted with tight detail.

Quando uma pessoa ama a arte de verdade, ela consegue se expressar numa tela. O artista que ama o que faz, consegue mostar ao mundo as suas obras de arte, cheias de riquezas!

I resonated with this!!!! His work space was beautiful! And I totally understand his need to clear his mind before he paints. I have to do the same thing and I cannot have any distractions visually so I need a clear space with the least amount of things around as possible! I wonder if this is common? I also have a couple of those large Japanese ink brushes mine is not as large as his but about half that size and I looove them for large washes especially :) they are great for holding large amounts of colour! Found on amazon after a search when I used a small one from Japanese set I used I realized I wanted more.

The one talent i wish i was born with is a natural ability to draw, i'm terrible at even stick figures, so i just plod along & paint for catharsis, this guy is so talented, beautiful to see. I'd be proud to hang one of his paintings on my wall.

Karl, I came upon your work only recently; it is stunningly beautiful. I've worked with animals all my life as a photographer and filmmaker but have only just begun to paint. I have a fairly thorough knowledge of animals but not in a dozen lifetimes could I produce the kind of accuracy that you achieve without using any reference material other than what is in my mind. Am I correct in deducing from what you present here that you don't use any "printed" reference material on which to base your paintings? If not, your work is even more astonishing.

If it'll work on a small scale it'll work on a big scale, little wimpy small energy is still energy. Never underestimate your component, think about it big braids or small brains, it's up to you.

That's a brush for Chinese painting or calligraphy. I guessed you can only get it in a shop selling Chinese painting materials.
