I enjoyed meeting Karl not all under pressure, still great and funny as hell. I imagine Karl's book is something you'd always keep close by, not just for laughs but to draw from experience. Like he said duing one of the hellacious trips he made, . . . "Ricky wouldn't do this, he goes home to his mum when he gets a cold, ya know that."

That would be my idea of a great series of An Idiot Abroad; Ricky has to return with Karl to all these places and live under the conditions that Karl did while Karl lives like a King. Gervais finds it so hilarious but would he find it quite as funny if he was the one experiencing it?

@Kronact64 I'm pretty sure you can. While there is no definitive distance to define outer space, it is considered by most to be somewhere between 62 and 76 miles above us. The operational altitude of a the space shuttle is 120 to 600 miles, and a number of astronauts have claimed to be able to see and even photograph the great wall while in orbit. I am willing to be corrected if I am wrong.

I went to Paris on vacation, I made it my goal not to see the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame. I went to London, I made it my goal not to see Big Ben. I went to Dublin and never did I see the Blarney stone or the Guinness Brewery. In a few years I'll be going to Peru, I can promise I won't see Machu Pichu. If you are going to the main places that 'everyone' thinks they should see, you are missing the gems. Most of the places you think are significant have been marketed to seem so. Typically there are secret spots that are far more beautiful and historically significant, and if you are traveling just so you can take selfies in front of the landmarks, you've got it all wrong.
