I love how even when they don't show the crew, Carl refers to them by name and you can tell he genuinely was friends with the whole crew that travelled with him . I don't know why they talk about tequila because, for what i know, the worm is put traditionnaly in Mezcal. It's a parasite which feeds from the agave, the main ingredient.

I always was told Tequila doesn't have a worm. Only Mezcal. It's made almost exactly the same way, but Mezcal is usually less potent and distilled once whereas tequila is always distilled twice. Apparently someone who was making Mezcal found a moth larvae in one of his batches and it looked really cool so he capitalized on the idea and started introducing the larvae to each bottle to give his product distinction.
