If you want a quick fix to the linen wrap, two ways: get a rubber sleeve like the carom players use, or have someone cover the wrap with a polyurethane finish. Most Meucci linen-wrapped cues have polyurethane finishes over the wrap.

Great video Karl it’s nice to see you using different equipment and testing it allowing us to get an idea of what it plays like I do use the how chalk because its squared and it allows you to tear some of the paper off like taom and kamui when the chalk gets worn down but you gotta do me a huge favor and I know I can’t be the only one wanting to know next time you see SVB ask him if he’s been offered chalk sponsorships and if he will ever consider using something else

Karl love your whats in the bag videos. Now we know whats in your bag. You have some beautiful equipment, and cool gadgets. The leather case is stunning. I've played with lots of carbon fiber shafts, revo, bull carbon pearson, jacoby black v4, mezz ignite, they just don't have the feel for me, until i bought my wife a whyte carbon 30" with the 12.5 tip. Wow is all i can say. Fit, feel, finish and play is perfect. And the interchangeable joint system is awesome and rock solid . She loves it to. I will be purchasing one soon. When it comes to carbon fiber shaft i dont care how much it sounds like wood and bla bla bla , i just want it to perform the way it should, and whyte carbon doesn't disappoint. So i really hope you like the shaft, and i can't wait for your review on it.

Carbon is the way if you care about maintenance, maple just warp regardless unless you drop big $ on Hsunami or kielwood type. But then again, i know guy that have OCD with 10 year standard maple shaft still in perfect rolling conditions, and he play 3 days a week. If I have the money to buy Carbon fiber, i would do it. I was lucky to try the cuetec Carbon fiber and it hit closer to wood. Anything else on the market have a death ding sound to it and Revo is the worst sound so far with the least Deflection!

I use a Crush as well. I hate the linen wrap too. I actually ordered it without the wrap but their was some sort of error and they were actually out of stock, so they sent me the wrapped cue. Technically it’s a upgrade and I was happy for the free upgrade but looking back, I should have just waited.

Nice video Karl. I am 6.4 and just got a Predator cue with a 30 inch shaft making it 59 inches. It still didn’t feel long enough so I put an 8 inch extender and marked where it felt best. Seems 61 inches is the most comfortable for my height so I ended up getting a 2 inch extension for the 59 inch cue. It’s strange. Anything longer feels too long 🤷♂️

@@KarlBoyesPoolLife what’s wild is that the week you took out the Filler video mentioning his Break Rush being 16 Oz. I had just done the same. It’s really under looked super light break cues. Even my shops cue tech told me he wish he’d could get it down to 16 Oz and also saw your video! What a coincidence! I’m sure my fault in my wooden cue is that it might not be a precise as a carbon shaft but that super light weight is insane.
