Sam Tyson I agree - you did a really nice job of sharing your experiences in a respectful way. I’m appreciative - I’m used to seeing videos of westerners being judgmental and critical. And I agree with Tyson, ur probably showing or reminding some city dwellers of aspects of life they’re not used to also. I know that ur showing the experience I had growing up in the US and visiting my grandparents in the village. It was more normal and comfortable to me than some of my cousins born and bred in Indian cities and never spent time there.

Watching this show not because a foreigner is showing India , but because a person is taking effort to understand culture and explain it to people. I find this extremely noble.

I don’t like the human and cow feces part, cleaning it directly with the hand? Wow! Then going to cook, eat, etc? Cleaning it with paper 🧻, then washing with soap and water 💦 would be better.

What's noble in being so dog-poor that you have to scrape shit from your butthole with your bare fingers since you cannot afford toilet paper? And don't even start saying its because of "saving trees", this is obviously a misdirection.

@Samurai Jack that is what I am saying exactly. Use water and tissue paper why you want to touch the shit/nutella. Just put paper under a tap. Make it wet and then wipe. I have asked many of my friends and they use water plus paper. I think maybe they use hand only in village or maybe those who are poor cannot afford paper so they use hand but it is very dangerous and spreads germs. Government should do something

@@sanjaydhakad8093 Exactly, but we cannot blame the past. Muslims felt targeted by Hindus that's why they created a different state but no east indian (nowadays: Pakistan) muslims asked for a separate state... the Britishers divided us but we still love each other. Once upon a time, Lahore was a multireligious and tolerant city. My village's name was Rampur now changed to Sultanpur. Punjabi was our language and we didn't even know who is muslim, hindu or sikh because we were all the same. We lived in peace for many centuries. Partition was painful my brother, i still cry inside myself...we Punjabi are loving people ruled by criminals and terrorists protected by the politicians and the media. ❤️

That's what I used while staying with my bf and his family in Delhi and he explained how its done and honestly it wasn't bad at all after getting used to it, tho all my family and friends said they could never do it lol. 😂 While I was there visiting his family in India he was trying so hard to make sure I was comfortable and even installed a toilet paper holder for me and a AC unit at his house before my first visit lol. I come from rural Missouri and lived without AC for years and had no trouble adjusting to the Indian lifestyle much to his uncle's amazement 😁. Beautiful traditional life , growing your own food , living simply , and respecting mother nature, indian people should invest in organic and traditional indian farming techniques , heirloom seeds , seed trade ,self sufficiency , community gardens , renewable energy such as wind , sun , hydro , sustainable businesses , living in peace with one another , with tolerance, love,,kindness , non violence we can all move forward together in this beautiful planet . the elites of the world should let the common man/woman live their life in peace that's what we all want , big corporations are hurting a lot around the world , and many politicians just do the elite's bidding , all of this must stop sooner than later i hope. Much love from invercargill , new zealand namaste 🙏❤️

Not using toilet paper is not to save money or trees, but more to comfort. Using toilet paper only you still get some waste stuck bach there, and also many people in India get rashes as their body is not uses to paper, water is more softer and good cleaner compared to paper. Just like you feel gross hearing people using hands to clean, we feel gross here hearing how you leave it unwashed and dont clean it 100%, so its basically from which perspective you look at.

the proper way is to remove the bulk of shit with dry toilet paper. Then you switch to a wet wipe when it's mostly clean. Then finish off with the dry paper for good measure. Finally you wash your hands. you get a clean ass without having to get shit on your hands.

It was great watching your video Karl.... It actually surprises me how you could adjust to our village life and it's lifestyle.... You seem to have picked up our hindi language too..... It was a brilliant presentation by you..... And finally, you seem to have understood our farmers plight than our own government... It's a tragedy our farmers lead such a hard and poor life when actually they are the providers of food to the whole nation. But I guess in a country with such a huge population, it's difficult to really care for a certain section of the society..... India needs to undergo a very strong revolution in order to uplift every section of the society equally.

I'd love to visit a Rajasthani village like the one you show here. I hope that people can do that in ways that do not negatively impact the villagers, but benefit them instead. Your videos may inspire more tourism to these kinds of places and I would welcome it if in future videos you share thoughts or suggestions for those you may be inspiring to ensure that they visit in ways that are on balance beneficial.

No one can help them because most of farmers in India hv a really small piece of land. and they dont want to shift their occupation. And govt dont hv any system to help only poor farmers only.

The Indian govt does its part and does quite a bit too. Farmers are not financially wise here, a lot of very short term financial planning & a lack of long term vision is a key factor for their distress. Lack of education adds to their woes. The situation is improving but we are a generation away to be free of farmer distress.

IF You wanna support FARMER...Please know these below issues and please consider... 1) GENUINE FERTILIZERS, PESTICIDES AND SEEDS - If farmers can get Genuine seeds / Saplings(... Their half burden is gone In Most cases there are instances of fake fertilizers, pesticides and seeds)... because most of the farmers invest by taking the loan to buy them and as they realize later that they got cheated by buying Fake ... they are completely smashed in their hopes. Govt don't really do much to stop this because bureaucracy in the State wouldn't let it happen. If some one can do some thing abt this.. its great help to entire Indian farming community. . . 2) RAISE IN PRICE VALUE OF CROP PRODUCE AND ACCESS TO FARMERS DIRECTLY TO MARKET INSTEAD of MIDDLE MEN -- Agriculture produce doesn't have uniform price and proper prices which can benefit farmers. Most of the crop produce is purchased for a lower price by middle men / traders and they sell it neatly packed in cities for triple the price. Farmers doesn't get a fair price for his handwork and investment for which he toils in all weather whole year. If anyone can get the fair price payed...Farmers would be the happiest folks. More Over one more reason to suppress the price of crop produce is because Govt want to give Charming Freebies to people like giving food grains for masses for cheap 2 rs or bit above (which is 0.028 United States Dollars)..It might be saintly thing but They suppress the farmers crop produce price for that and they are not buying the produce directly from farmer. This keeps farmers not able to have a Fair price for their produce and also cannot export to other countries because GOVT have restrictions abt it. This keeps Farming as an discouraged profession. No One fights for it. Farmer is always expected to be a socialist and not to raise his voice for fair price..but traders can be acclaimed as Great businessmen capitalists when they bully and take the Produce for such a cheap prices from farmers. That's so unfair. Example Ref - www.downtoearth.org.in/news/agriculture/onion-price-crash-farmers-distress-fail-to-move-governments-57253 . . 3) WAREHOUSES - Government doesn't Help in building warehouses for farmers to store their produce. This takes away their chances to store until the better price.. forces them to sell their produce at any given price that they get at that point because of the fear that the product would be spoiled if they wait.. .. and this is always being exploited by Middlemen and Traders and Brokers. and Millers / Brokers / traders buy for cheap meager price and sell it branded for triple price / export it for bigger fortunes...where as farmer remain poor as always. . . 4) SUBSIDY TO FARM MACHINERY AND EDUCATING FOR BETTER FARMING PROCEDURES - Govt don't give sufficient subsidies / support to Modernize Farming and for Agriculture Machinery. Govt should educate and encourage farmers for better Farming procedures using Modern methods like Drip irrigation and Israeli technology in farming. But No one takes initiative of doing so for farmers. If interested people who come as tourists ...take a chance of sharing their place / countries agricultural practices and scientific methods min farming to local farmers ...during their stay as tourists... it would benefit so much to the community for your charity of education to local ones. . . 5) DECLARING AGRICULTURE AS INDUSTRY - Even the entertainment got an Tag of Industry in India but Not Agriculture. It still remained as Socialistic ...better to say "Forced to remain so ..for individual political benefits)...AGRICULTURE should be proclaimed as Industry and should be commercialized to sell the crops directly to customers in the urban and semi urban areas and to Malls instead of middle men deciding the fate of farmers. Govt should help farmers abt it. If the bureaucracy is vanished... farmers gets more "fair" benefits for their handwork.. to reach directly to customers in other areas. Both the consumer and farmer would benefit with it. there are few social media attempts being made by few farmers to sell their produce directly to costumers in various cities around... through social media like FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM and WHATSAPP. .. this is very creative and useful and this kind of attempts should be welcomed and technology can be used in a fair way to reach consumers directly without middle men bureaucracy. . . Govt should allot specific areas wise to each local farmers to directly produce the amount of quantity needed basing on the population of that colony or locality or community...sell food to them in that particular locality for a Fair price agreed by Govt - Farmer - Consumer . This way... even before crop is planted... farmers are assured that their produce is already secured as much as their lives and handwork. Its win win situation for all. For example.. specific apartment can buy from a specific set of farmers......only.... as a support... or a group of employees buy products directly from a specific farmers ....makes farmers more secured for their crops... if groups of ppl ( imagine population of India and imagine how many urban and semi urban and employee and middle class people can do this type of support) can do this... its a great help to farmer. In our country... If even a cable dish operator for Tv gets specific colony in a city registered to his distribution rights... then why not farmers ? . . 6) Allow more exports to other countries. . . IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT FARMERS... 1) BUY CROP PRODUCE DIRECTLY FROM FARMERS... 2) HELP IN ESTABLISHING WAREHOUSES... 3) HELP IN VISITING THEM AND EDUCATING THEM WITH BETTER MODERN WAYS ...(this way u can enjoy as a tourist as well as teach and share ur knowledge) ... 4) RAISE THE SLOGAN for BETTER PRICE to CROP PRODUCE of farmers (Farmers feel that society have isolated them to remain poor and unfortunate and that crushes their confidence)..Its time to give the confidence back to them...Support farmers by Encouraging their Livelihood and crop products. . . Its Unfortunate that Big developed countries file cases against smaller countries if the food prices / or machinery being subsidized or raise base prices. How can farmers thrive in countries like India for feeble prices they get where as their investment is mountain big. www.telegraphindia.com/business/farm-incentives-raise-us-hackles/cid/1482100 . . Time to Ponder and SUPPORT FARMER... Share the voice and support ...

That place is way nicer than a non village place in India. I thought it would be worse but it's way better. I love the layout of the house. The courtyard is pretty cool. I'd like a house like that with the upstairs walk-around balcony thing and stuff that was cool.
