@@user-jt5jz6mq9l I’m really sorry but you are an idiot man! The thing is you are getting education from Bollywood movies. The ground reality is different. My best friend is an Indian Hindu, we became friends on WhatsApp and from that day we have been like brothers. An educated Pakistani would never hate a Hindu or an Indian or anyone else. I am a Muslim but deep down my heart I know one way or the other there is a huge possibility that our ancestors might have been Hindus. I strongly believe we Pakistanis should preserve our Hindu Heritage, and our history. I strongly admire Chankya, I have read about Morya Empire, and I as a Muslim believe that Raja Dahir was a Hero who fought to protect his homeland. Let’s stop hating each other, we know who have been the biggest enemy of Peace between both India and Pakistan and it was never India! We could have been the best neighbours and unfortunately we turned out to be enemies. I believe one day situation will be better.

Don't you worry. There isn't any lack of space for those people. They are living there in a remote secluded place by their choice/ancestral homes. The literacy rate of GB and Kashmir is very high, many of them have Govt jobs and their 2nd home in other cities of Pakistan like Islamabad for example. These 80 people are living in this remote mountainous area and it's very hard to provide them with modern infrastructure due to non existent population density, and the local topography also doesn't allow that too. I have lived for more than a month in Kashmir and have seen broken water supply lines due to soft mountainous land underneath the pipelines keep shifting/moving. There's already plenty of water through constant rains and countless natural springs. Where I lived there was electricity, road connections but roads required constant repairs due to soft soil and land sliding issues. It all depends upon the number of people. Few families living away from the rest of the world is entirely another issue.

I just came back from the last village on the Pakistani side called Frano. The next village on the Indian side is called Turtuk which less than 10 KM far from the LoC. The fort that you are climbing in the beginning of the video is called Kharphocho Fort. Khar means fort in the Balti language, like Phong Khar in Shigar valley, Thoksi Khar in Khaplu valley and so on. Shyok and Indus rivers' confluence is 40 KM outside the main Skardu city. The organic village was developed by the Aga Khan Development Network. Thanks a million for visiting our region of gilgit Baltistan. Lots of love from Gilgit to you and our Bhabhi.

And cheese from the cows. My Indian inlaws made their own cheese and ghee from their own cows, and they kept a bull in a separate paddock was was brought to do his duty once a year, I liked the way the calves got to stay with their mothers until they were quite big and it was the mother cow who decided when to wean her babies. Unlike here in NZ where the calves are lucky to spend even one day with their mums. Poor babies and their distressed mothers.

Indeed. It's something that not many people remember anymore but in 1948, Indian PM Nehru visited Pakistan for a meeting of the boundary commission and both sides , India and Pakistan, came very close to agreeing to make the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh region as a 'condominium' , to be administered jointly as a free/autonomous zone. I wonder if they'd finally agreed to such an idea, how things might've turned out? All the citizens of India and Pakistan and the rest of South Asia, sitting together along the Indus river, sipping "chai" ❤

"Although Karl is trying hard to appease his Indian audience by (understandably so) by showing how this region is same as the other side, and military is everywhere, I am finding it quite opposite. This region seems to be as normal as it gets. Dare I say a bit to normal." just wanted to quote this comment because it really comes off like this, in previous comments I've already mentioned that my family is from skardu, and our country is pakistan. The area of gilgit baltistan and kashmir in pakistan are nothing like in india, there's barely any military presence let alone anything that affects the lives of the locals, it's true freedom as compared to the indian side. what we see their is active indian colonization and oppression on the lands of people, indians from central to south india come to kashmir to enroll into universities in kashmir because of scenery, they litter, they get drunk in their lands, and they attack kashmiris, it's awful, that's not even mentioning the military, governmental and police brutality in the region. I PRAY that they can have peace.
@hp80296 күн бұрын
And I hope karl if you're reading this, you should ask the locals about what they think about being apart of the pakistani national state..just so your indian audience can get a little glimpse and light out of their delusional thinking
