KEVIN - love this channel, but one small request: we need MORE deep-dives on Tony from MCIS (or whatever the fuck it's called) Media. He's a permanent source of fascination and hilarity. Truly the weirdest bloke (yes, I'm English, and I drink in actual pubs, in London, not fake ones like John in LA - no offence to Pickwick, but you know what I mean...). The only concession I'll make to John is - although it was never a huge deal here - the E-show was played on cable tv in the UK in the late nineties, so we could access those, and some of us were huge fans...but it was never a household name.. Some ppl would know it, some wouldn't, mostly not, but Howard WAS a familiar name, mainly by reputation (and when Private Parts came out, he did a big promotional blitz here, and appeared in the tabloids, so ppl could now put a face to a name etc. And would know him as the controversial shock jock who was worth millions of dollars etc.) Then when KZbin came out, I started to search for old interviews I remembered Howard doing with celebs - like with Noel Gallagher - and from then I started to watch everything I could find, and discovered all the wack pack and so forth (quickly becoming obsessed with Hi-Pitch Eric, quickly overtaken by Jeff the Drunk, THEN came MY MAN BEETLEJUICE, then Fred, Baby Booey etc.). I loved it, and other friends of mine at university also got into it through the clips on KZbin, and it spread by word of mouth. So yeah, he did have a cult presence in the UK. Just wanted to clear that up. But it was all Howard, in no way did Stuttering John have any kind of fame or name-recognition lol! DABBLERS FOREVER.

The assessment of The Guardian is wrong, as much as they’ve turned very SJW in recent years they’re the ones who broke the Snowden story. Erock makes them out to be the equivalent of Vice or National Enquirer, but they have been a respected publication that have broken some major scandals here in the uk for decades, even if the quality has dipped in recent years.

The Snowden story was also completely overblown, the nsa is not constantly tracking what people do. They took Snowden’s words and twisted them for their own purposes. If the US gov really wanted Snowden they would just go and grab him, I’ve listened to interviews with him and even he doesn’t say what the guardian alleged. I can’t speak on the guardians reliability in the UK but any US stories ive read are incredibly biased and usually only half true if at all. I consider it Fox News’ left wing equivalent

Actually John made a small fortune on stocks in the 90s. When he answered phones at Stern making $15,000 a year, he had an apartment in Manhattan and a huge house on Long Island. When he was supposed to be answering phones for the show he was wheeling and dealing with stockbrokers who called in to the show. He made a bunch of money.

One of my favourite things John does is he's constantly blaming "right-wingers" for trolling him and messing with his show. Now taking into account his immense self-delusion, the obvious implication here is that his attacks and insults against conservatives are so devastating and effective that they're now trying to shut him down. But he is so arrogant that it would never occur to him that the reason people mess with him is that he is stupid and cranky, and it's fun to poke the bear and see how angry it gets. Especially when it's 12 beers deep. And as someone who leans much more to the Right myself I never want to see Stuttering John stop what he's doing. His descent into booze-fueled insanity and oblivion is just too damn entertaining.
