Can committing suicide be karmically set, or is it always a "choice", and if it can be karmically set at the same time, or we have a "choice", how do we distinguish between the two?

If the karmic tendency is there in the mind from having done things - anything, good or not so good - then it can feel like no choice. But once we start to practice and purify our own tendencies, then we can have more say over things.
