"Why" (0:28), "fine" (0:40), "what? am I normal or not?" (1:40), "Wright! I've done everything right" (1:42), "I'm sorry" (2:38 - this is the only one that doesn't match up to lyrics), Phoenix: "the universe works in mysterious ways", Miles: "but I'm startin' to think it ain't workin' for me" (3:55). It's also kinda implied that Miles is speaking the lyrics at the very beginning ("I've been so good, I've been helpful and friendly" - 0:00), as well as after the first "fine" ("oh no everything's fine, I'm not sure why" - 0:40), and after "I've done everything right" ("so where's the karma, doc, I've lost my patience" - 1:42). hopefully that helps, and that you see this!

I saw a tangientally relevant sad headcanon. -Gregory never got a chance to say that Santa isn’t real. -And then von karma assumed miles already knew Santa wasn’t real so never explicitly mentioned it, and just didn’t do the Santa thing in the household. -So when Christmas 2002 rolled around, and there were no gifts attributed to Santa, miles assumed “ah yes. i am now on the naughty list”

[light references/spoilers to AAI2 and AJ] the "should i be good this year?" line hits really hard for edgeworth, bc during the Investigations games and the seven-year gap, he spends so much time trying to make himself individually better. And what does he get for it? The discovery that the entire PIC is corrupt. His best friend/eternal love Phoenix gets disbarred for unjust reasons and falls into a deep depression. And I haven't played DD yet so I don't know what's up with Simon Blackquill, but he seems like a very sad boi who needs a hug and has also been unjustly treated by the law. Luckily for us all, Edgeworth does decide to be good - for Phoenix, for Trucy, for his father, for Blackquill. And, though he would never admit it, for himself.

Ya see! This is why Edgeworth is my fav character! His backstory was so tragic. But in the end, that is what made his character so dynamic. And Capcom did a good job referencing his past in almost every case he is in.He changed so much for the better! And that is probably why he got his own game!

You know, there are a bunch of songs named "Karma" and the majority of them are good, but I clicked on this and immediately went: "Is this AJR?! Yes. Just YES." I really love how this is more animated than your usual work. Like. Everything is so fricking *dynamic* , it *moves* so f*cking perfectly, heck, Edgeworth is even literally talking which must have been so much work! This whole thing just clicks. And I'm not just talking about the art, but the way the story is portrayed, as well. Seeing Edgeworth's journey to happiness gives me happiness too, and I love how you used so many different cases and went beyond the first game (I especially commend you for using the scene where he follows Franziska to the airport and gives her back her whip because it is heavily underused and seems to be overlooked by so many people, despite carrying so much emotional weight). This really was a joy to watch.
