It's from Latin, where some words ending in -us or -o are are pluralised with -i. I think it's a fun quirk to just add it to everything, but I don't like when he uses it in the singular. Sort of ruins the joke.

Ooh. I don’t think Iskall will win that one, much as I think he has a case. Beef’s trackrecord of lawyering in Minecraft as the greatest lawyer in the Mindcrack Trial B-team vs TC flies in the face of of the old adage “The man who represents himself has a fool for a client.” Beef is the exception. But Iskall will undoubtedly choose this route and it will be his downfall. Who should be the judge, I wonder? 🤔 Or maybe a better question is: who on the server has Iskall not interacted with yet 😂 but also hasn’t interacted with Beef so there are zero biases? I think the only person is Zedaph! I would love to see that.

@@pendelluft I think that in this trial, Beef representing himself would be his downfall. Against Iskall, and whoever Iskall choose to be his representant, Beef is likely to lose his cool and lose the entire thing! So he would need someone to represent him, that can keep calm. The judge is important, but not as important if they go for a jury also. The judge is there mainly for the lawyers to have a fair playing field then, and to uphold order in the court! Who the jurors would be is the key question here I feel like. A good judge could be Xizuma, but also maybe Cubfan. Or if we want someone truly hilarious and who will add a lot of flair to it all, Ren. Though I feel like Ren could be perfect as Iskall's lawyer. I hope they go this route, would be an all time great episode for everyone involved!

Houses in Sweden, in case anyone was wondering, are red as a byproduct of copper mining in the city of Falun during the Industrial Revolution, due to this they got a lot of dirt containing ore and sludge. This tailing contains a lot of oxides, copper compounds (naturally) and zinc, which gets more and more red over time. Mix it with water, rye flour and linseed and you get Falu red paint. This made it very cheap to produce, and made grimy houses (from smog) look nicer and brighter. I guess it remained a tradition in Sweden, and I, personally, think it looks rather lovely. Very reminiscent of how a lot of houses over on my side of England are made out of red bricks because red clay is very common here ❤

The use of Falu red actually began with wealthy people wanting to emulate the red brick houses of continental Europe! It dates back as far as the 1500s and in the 1600s city ​​authorities would commonly order the painting of the street-facing facades before royal visits. The Industrial Revolution helped make Falu red available to the common people, and the National Romantics of the 1800s helped cement its place in our cultural heritage. Also, the linseed oil helps preserve the wood so Falu red is both practical and pretty 🙂
