"Too much Amy? Yeah maybe I won't put that in." *puts it in* 😂😂 This was soo interesting guys! Really love the way you explain everything Grant, curious - did you study history at university or anything? You seem to be so confident speaking with a wealth of knowledge and obviously a strong interest in general. My fiance & I just watched the Alexander the Great series on netflix, it was awesome. I'll have to rewatch this vlog with him, such a good one filled with all the fun facts! Ps - hahaha so funny you bought up bin chickens, I am in W/Aus and always make a point to call them 'the Mighty Ibis' - poor lot, they get a bad wrap over here.

Thank you that’s very kind 🙏🏻 Hahaha yeah that joke was for those paying attention, Amy said keep it in 🤣 I studied Anthropology so we covered human evolution, sociology etc but not straight history as such. I just have a sad little ‘penchant’ for these things lol. Drop us an email on less-travelled@outlook.com we’re doing an Aussie series next year so we might be able to swing by. I think some of the world’s oldest art is over your way, so I’ve got this idea about hiking into the bush to see it but honestly done zero research yet :S Amy and I will have to watch this Alexander series!

@@less-travelled oh for sure we'd love to have you guys and show you around if it works out in your schedule! We are somewhat "remote" on the southern coast. Lots of mountain climbing and great trails here. We have some aboriginal rock art a few towns inland from us and then obviously lots of cool stuff to see up north. The history in Aus is amazing, you guys will love it. Sounds like a great idea for a series, can def see you both loving an explore in Uluru, NT aswell!

You can tell on those large columns at the beginning of this video that they are done via concrete forms. You can see the sections. I bet the interior of these columns are hallow. They then used their concrete or clay to form the shape on the outside and to do their hieroglyphics on. All time consuming! At 14:17, you can see Imetop (spelling?) is wearing a triangular piece of cloth that goes over the shoulders, and if you look at Ramses, you can see that he has the same piece of triangular cloth, but his isn't extended. That's kind of cool. Never seen that before! At 23:41 stop the video and look to the lower right hand corner to see what looks like a hot air balloon. There are two ropes that hang down, and as the camera continues to move, you can see that there are two men on the left holding those ropes. I wonder if that's how they picked up and lowered the large pyramid stones????? They obviously had chariots and understood the wheel too. Interesting!
