Seems like my reaction gets deleted shortly after I post it... maybe not if I react to a reaction?... I would like to elaborate on the name of Jerusalem as mentioned at 23:15. What’s in a name? In Genesis 14:18-20, Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of The Most High (Elohim). When David changed the name from Jebus to Jerusalem, he was inspired to do so. We can find the meaning of “Jeru” in Judges 6:32 where Gideon had torn down the altar of Baal, his father told the angry mob that baal should be able to revenge himself. They called Gideon Jerubbaal, which means something like struggle, conflict or dispute with Baal. The meaning of Salem is the same as Shalom in a different accent. The name Solomon means “Peaceful”. 1 Chronicles 22:9 says “Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.” So if “Jeru” means struggle/conflict/dispute and “Salem” means peace… and if the name was given to David by inspiration… this must be a city that has been, and still is, struggling with peace… I cannot think of any other city in the world that would qualify more for that prophetically inspired description.

I forgot to mention the great scholar who studied under Gamaliël, Paul in his letter to the Hebrews chapter 7 the first two verses: “For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;”

Muhammads "Night Journey" to Al-Aqsa. During muhammads time, there was no Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In fact there was no Mosques in Jerusalem during Muhammads times. And their was no Temple, just a Temple Mount during muhammads times. Al-Aqsa was built in 681 year and finished in 705 year. That's about 59 years after muhammads death. The Dome of the Rock was finished by the son of the caliph, Abdul Malik and Malik died in 705 year. Muhammad supposedly jumped on the back of Al-burak. Al-burak is a hybrid kind of creature that looks human but with the body and shape of a mule or donkey. I repeat there was no Al-Aqsa or dome of the rock during muhammads times. The Al-Aqsa and dome of the rock were built about 59 years after Muhammads death. Read Chapter 17 of the Quran book.

A couple things come to mind whenever I think about the Temple Rock. 1.) Islam always builds temples on top of concurs Holy grounds. Islam has no problem destroying a Church or Temple. But Christians and Jews are not so willing to do so. So Islam has taken to placing temples on concurred Holy Ground so that they can claim it as theirs. 2.) The Islamic Prophet had to fly to God, not from Medina or the most Holy of Islamic Temples but from a Jewish Temple site. Kind of a blow to Islam as far as I see it. Places the entire center of the faith on war instead of Peace.

@@whousa642 Ecclesiastes 7:29 What many call explore is really ignore. Exploring elsewhere while ignoring what's here now, under your feet where you are in front of your nose, so then you won't have to be nosey about over there. What you label as an adventure Is really but a departure from reality for the fantasy the abject and superfluous because you have disdain for the apparent and obvious. You say you're in search for the truth, while in fact you are trying to rewrite it to fit the lie you want to believe. How uncouth. And convincing yourself to be open minded while closing yourself, burying and denying that which was already mined, dug up , washed, cleaned. Polished and prepared to embrace, not attempting to erase or cancel. You say you're in search of, while really in abandoning of what you were already given and have. Running away to get away from what you'll never escape. You. God. Your calling and purpose, duty and mission. You're not living the Dream you're day dreaming dying and delirious. Delusional in the illusion of a picture you've painted in a vain imagination. Blinding your eyes to the true revelation. That you've known it all the time, but wasted time trying to unknow and unring a bell that's already rung whose tone is ringing in your ear ,hearing but not listening. Not adhering. Following and doing. Never about how much or why what, but what you do with what you have and what you become to justify the why you were given it. You were made to stand up. And stand for and against. You wondered off to jump off and fall down seeing your fence as keeping you in when it was keeping you safe and away from sin . So you might reach your ark not miss your mark. It's not to late and home hasn't moved or is lost. Only you have. Now turn around and find your way back. You're not nor ever have been alone.

Absolutely fascinating and so informative. I am so glad you have put this video here on youtube so that we can all learn about the history of this holy site. I feel it’s such a shame that non muslims are not allowed in certain parts of Temple Mount. Maybe one day religions will come together and allowed to celebrate and pool knowledge together. Maybe not in my lifetime but who knows what the future. 🙏

Folk want to repress Judaism as Almighty God is not their God. Jerusalem isn't even mentioned in the Koran but they want what God gave to the Jews. It seems like jealousy, but in fact is spiritual war.

@@patti3855 Muhammad prophesied that Allah told him eating seven adjwah dates would make him immune to poison, Muhammad ate the dates, but still died of eating poison lamb. According to Hadith. One needn't any further evidence that he was a false prophet. Qur'an Surah 5:21 Allah gave the promised land to the Jews. Allah obviously meant that promise because Allah gave the Jews power to defeat five Arab nations' larger, better equipped, armies in only six days of war. Yet still, Muslims are still fighting against Allah's will and trying to drive out the Jews from the holy land.

Thanks for teaming up with Danny! I have seen many of his videos in the past. He is a very, very detailed archaeologist and never ceases to point out fascinating minutiae which most folks would never know. What he lacks, which you possess and convey in abundance, are personal perspectives and opinions which I just love and lend a real sense of reality and of "being there" to many of your talks. And you always do so in a nonconfrontational, kind, compassionate way ---- even on topics where you are certain that many listeners likely have a different point of view. Thank you for that Oren!! Keep up the wonderful work.

@@beachstart I went with friends. One of them asked the guard at the entrance of the Dome of the Rock if we could go in and he said no. My friend said okay and after we walked away he went back to ask as he was determined to get us in. My friend is a history guru and when he persistently asked again he incorporated history and somehow persuaded the guard to ask the person above him. After that, that person asked another person and all together he spoke with 5 different people to get a yes. We were thrilled when he came out after about 30 minutes asking for our passports because they maybe would let us in. Honestly it was a bit scary to had them our passports but we knew this was not an everyday experience. We gave him our passports to give to them and waited about another 15 minutes. Then he came out and told us it was a YES!!! We were super excited but the guards by the Old City entrance(that’s where we were waiting for my friend while he asked) told us (3 women) that we needed to cover our heads and they helped us to find head coverings(this was hilarious and exciting at the same time to have muslim guards help us look for head coverings!). We were also provided longer skirts than what we already had. I am a conservative christian and always dress pretty conservative and was surprise at the fact that they gave us even longer skirts to wear over ours. Once we were ready to go in we were given a tour of both the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque. We were able to take pictures and record. It was a wonderful experience! @travelingisrael.com
