We already have an airport in North Bengaluru. That automatically rules out Tumakuru district. There is an airport coming up by TN in Hosur, that rules out East Bengaluru. The only good options are west and south Bengaluru. Kunigal is south west and could be an ideal choice. So is malavalli because it is in south. The point is that the new airport must serve the needs of 5 districts i.e. Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu so that we don't have to build new international airports in any of those. So ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for .... Kunigal. This area is close to all the districts and is already connected with a National Highway. Very close to Mysore, Mandya, Hassan and Kodagu. Kunigal or the adjacent Nagamangala (both are really the same in terms of location) is the ideal location for a new airport.

Tumkur frames have already sacrificied their land for Vasanthnarsapura Industrial area of nearly 3000 acres, this airport if done in tumkur then farmers have to give another 8000 acres of land. So majority chunk of farmers in tumkur district will be thrown out of gear 😮

They don't want another "outside city" airport in neighbouring Hosur, another airport 40km away. Most of us need 20-25km and for South/East region. I believe bangalore south is dominated by tamilnadu , where as east is dominated by andhra, north is already you have airport , west you need airport , but that area is less populated . i believe for present bangalore need only 2 airports that is existing one and tamilnadu and karnataka should agree or plan , (like they jointly do metro link from narayana hrudayala to hosur , and outer ring road , and to ease traffic in hosur deviation from attibele avoiding hosur reaching dharmapuri and kerala) similarly airport for both hosur and bangalore in hosur, so think for future and airports only needed to cross over sea where hyperloop seems to be less viable (no money from investment) . as a common man i have these ideas why not govt think in collaboratively with neighbour states to get best out of it.

If they build airport in thqt surroundings, it will help to expand Bengaluru towards North western direction so that Kannadigas would benefit.
