Myke Bulvai man are serious? first of all, this is a difficult song to perform live. secondly, Moshcam doesn't do justice on the live performances, and last but not least, you have to hear more of Karnivool lives and i believe you will change your opinion! And the crowd seems pretty amazed so i guess he was good!

Rigas_Spot i'm very serious dude. He has very little to no control on his voice here. Example, he goes off tune 2:14 onward where he sings "it chooses the weather". Other places his volume is inconsistent especially the high pitch sections, which means he's not singing right, he's straining. If you're a singer and you're straining, you're not singing right. Now before the influx of negative comments and death threats from fan girls, note I'm not a singer, nor do I want to be. I just know what a singer's function is. It is to sing. As I know what a hammer's function is. It is to hit shit up and not fall apart.

+Myke Bulvai lol you must not have been to many live shows. Otherwise you would know very well that live recordings 99% of the time do not capture the entirety of a live performance. Think about the setup/microphones/acoustics of a studio compared to a packed out hall being recorded on a video camera. So yes he isn't going to sound like the recorded version. Having said that the singer absolutely nailed this song, he didn't miss the note on "it chooses the weather" in fact he's still in key, he simply hits a lower note, possibly cos his voice was tired, this is why many bands tune down half a step for live shows. You're right you're not a singer, otherwise you wouldn't make such a moronic comment lol.
