I remember my visit to Pszczyna a couple years ago. The castle was, of course, beautiful, and like something that could star as Pemberly in yet another Pride and Prejudice adaptation. But the thing is, in the town of Pszczyna, they also have that open air museum [skansen], which features a couple of 18th- and 19th-century peasant homes, a mill, etc. And the contrast between these wooden huts (that still look good in comparison to what my grandma was born in - in 1930s! - for example, *they had floors*), was infinitely depressing and gave me a lot to think about.

I am not into podcasts in general, but this is the only series I was willing to give a try due to your videos being so amazing. I really enjoyed it, thank you so much for not only gathering the information, but crwating such a girly talk vibe to a historical piece that it added the extra fun! Keep up the good work, please!

Loved this so much! 🥰❤️ But also, I went on your page to see how many episodes were already published, and I was shocked!! I have missed months of not only this podcast, but of your videos too! I am subscribed, I have notifications on, and I'm *not* getting any of your videos pushed to me. 😭 I don't know why, but I'm salty about it... but also happy that I now have hours of content to catch up on! 😅❤️

Daisy lived in a place I'd like to write about. I can relate to not knowing how the world outside works and how other people are. People are better than I thought they were.

Best episode yet! This was super interesting. For the record, there is a theatre at Chatsworth, it's just not open to the public. I was lucky enough to go on a behind the scenes tour earlier this year and got to see it. It's in the tower by the garden entrance. Apparently, it used to be the ballroom, but they converted it into a theatre some time in the late 19th Century.

I feel like I've read a whole history novel about Daisy. Loved her personality and honest opinions, even if somewhat detached from reality by modern standards, she's still very conscious. Guess no work and all play is almost as bad as all work and no play!

How interesting that she decided to publish her own diary while she was still alive! I feel pretty disappointed that it's not the complete diary though, I get that she of course wanted to keep some things out because of privacy reasons, but my personal opinions is that diaries and journals are best read as unedited as possible. At least I want my own diaries read as they are if someone gets their hands on them after I'm gone. Sure, they have a lot of rambling, vulgar language and pretty stupid opinions that might make my grand kids cringe, but I want my humanity preserved as it was and not as a neat, edited package. Or maybe I'm just a nosy little freak. But it would be such a funny thing if like 80-100 years from now some future history buff would roast me in their podcast. I can only imagine what kind of odd behavior they could point out and what details they would find relatable and which specific things would instantly be indicative of my time period and social class? I hope some nerd gets really into analyzing my handwriting and makes some psychoanalysis about that. How fun!

A suggestion for a future video: I am wondering where you keep your collection of vintage/antique clothes (and hats!). Surely there is not enough room in your apartment. I am also curious about how you store them and keep them in good condition. In any case, a tour of your collection would be fun.

Am hooked. I have to say though, life without a purpose is something many people feel luke they have today. The thing is poor people have a lot to distract them. While rich people have all that time to wonder how pointless their lives are. I would say many people suffer from that today.

I'm so here for the mince pie hate. My aunt makes one every Thanksgiving because she insists it's my dad's favorite (it's not, he like banana or coconut cream best) and his birthday is December 2, so she gives it to him as an early birthday present. He's the only one in our house who likes it, so he has to eat it by himself and it always goes bad before he can finish it. Thankfully this year she couldn't find mince filling anywhere, so there's no awful pie to haunt our kitchen for once!

I'm curious about what Anne of Cleves wore in German Renaissance fashion. Are any of the costumes that Joss Stone wore as Anne of Cleves in The Tudors historically accurate. Please do 2 videos like one of the historical accuracy of what Joss Stone wore as Anne of Cleves and what Anne of Cleves would have actually wore like before and after her arrival to England and maybe make a list with pictures of the multiple things she wore throughout her entire life.
