It really doesn't matter what you do with your hair because you are very skilled in styling it and your make up is equally good. What ever it is you want to do your do well.

I love that people are people and always have been. This fact connects us to the past and to the future. It’s kind of hard to picture ancient people having the same issues and struggles we do today but they absolutely did. I like to imagine a teenager in Pompeii gossiping with her friends about who has a crush on who.

It's interesting how hats were used to express people's identity. I've seen it mentioned many times in biography written by different people from different eras. You wore a hat according to your class and your job and you didn't step outside of that. Working men wore flat caps, a businessman might wear a bowler hat or a boater, teachers wore mortar boards My dad was born in 1941, his father was born in the 1890s. I once jokingly put a flat cloth cap on my dad's head that I found in a dressing up box and he recoiled away from it in horror. He said I've refused all my life to wear a cloth cap, my dad wore it all through my childhood, it never suited him but it was just something he wore, like the uniform of the working classes, it was expected of him and he refused to do the same. 14 year old me was like woah dad, it's not that deep. I get it now.

My grandpa, born in 1926, is my good friend and is very cheeky. He tells me all the time about his youth (back in france). The girls were on fire, even pre teens. They used to have sex in nature, wherever their christian conservative parents wouldnt find them. As a young adult enrolled at the army, he used to enjoy women in harbour where they would flock to have sex with sailors. The same woman would have sex with several of his mates and nobody cared. Back from the army, in his early 20s, when he was a mountain guide as a second job, girls from paris would want to hike with him only to end up having sex in the shelters at night. They would even propose! Now bear in mind that he wasnt even tall. He was 5"3 and still had lots of success. At the fabric where he later worked as a chemist, the women (plenty were working there!) were asking him out. They were wild. He also said that the library had anatomy books where the clitoris was fully illustrated and explained (unlike what many feminists want to believe). I love that my grandfather never judged women for seeking pleasure. Unlike too many men of any generation.

I love your channel but gotta disagree to a point on this video. I don’t think you can compare societal trends now to those back then as I highly doubt that the social norm was to intentionally look like the opposite sex. Yes, the men back then had a feminine look by modern standards but they weren’t considered feminine back then or accepted as such.

I am short so I have to use a small ladder to get to my cupboards, it's a part of life and if I didn't use a ladder to climb in order to reach the second shelf in a regular cupboard. If I can do it you can climb and use one cupboard that you said is up too high for you. If I didn't climb all of my cups and dishes would never be used. hahaha

For any really interested in viewing some REAL 1950's dating and overall fifties culture. There is a HUGE 50's reenactment Every Year at Parsippany NJ Labor Day weekends. It's called LEAD EAST and every element of the 1953 to say, 1964 America happens all over again in one five day period. Dating, forget what goes on.. making out in the 1000+ Hot Rods and Custom Cars..... Doo Wop groups vs wild Rockabilly. Vintage clothes, a Senior Prom...❤. Nothing like it anywhere....Wanna know what fifties boy/girl stuff was really like?.Well, it's LEAD EAST folks....

The general level of peace and happiness was probably much higher in women of the 1890's, as well as men. They certainly weren't worried about world war or nuclear annihilation, or crack heads ruling over them, or $35 trillion of debt crushing their children's future, or having their children die of drug overdose, or being more likely to commit suicide, or a gain of function virus wiping out humanity but I'm sure they also experienced some of the same generic human turmoil of today.

the football guy named Butker would liked the women to go back to those times. Not sure if victorian woman would say "you live in your parent's basement",not sure if that was even a thing back then,or if they called it that.

On my first day of highschool freshman year I wrote a diary entry on my phone that was like, "I hope I make friends this year. Im nervous but hopeful 🥺." And then someone stole my phone right out of my backpack and the diary was open so it was probably the first thing they saw... I didnt have a password for it set up yet cause I was lazy. I was mortified that year wondering if whoever stole it was like watching me and knew my inner thoughts lol

My parents had to get married in 1955 because my older sister was on the way. My mother got pregnant on her first date with my father and they eloped 2 months into their relationship and had my sister 7 months later. My mother was 18 and my father was 29. They were married for 42 years until my father died in 1997
