I love reading Kafka's letters to his best friend Max Brod. Franz also is very humorous (esp for a guy who wrote Process and Metamorphosis) and playful in his letters.

Wow you did some great investigative work to try to connect and understand the people who were unkind to you. That is pretty awesome of you. I’m proud of you on how you handled and decided to share this information with us. 💜 It gave me a new perspective on this type of behavior.

This is all so true. I've noticed how absolutely brutal instagram is. It's honestly mind boggling that brazenly mean and negative comments get so much positive engagement. It's just nasty😣

Owning a house is a constant work in progress… I have been at my house for +15 years. Whenever people visit, they complement my furniture and decor; I feel very proud, but I also point out that this happened over many/many years… when I first moved in, I was in an empty house

It seems power and wealth and the need to keep up with or establish social dominance by any legitimate means possible could make the very wealthy make monkeys of themselves sometimes. Apparently - from another video on here somewhere - a BBC thing - that offal could actually cost more than regular meat. The rich person who thought Kidneys were a delicacy would spend his declining years suffering the agonies of gout. The rich man might tend to live longer than the poor man but he also tended to suffer a lot longer too. Most offal now goes into dog and cat food. Giblets in turkey may be the only case where internal organs still get eaten regularly? Liver is still available but you have to hunt for it. Kidneys are very hard on one's kidneys, so I hear.

The Wishbone episode of Pride & Prejudice was my first introduction to the story as a child in the 90s. It was a great show and it introduced a lot of kids to classic literature. And the dog Wishbone was so 🥰

Seems like the millions of videos (some made by women) dedicated to prove that the gender wage gap is a myth ended up being completely useless.

sadly I think the people who leave hate comments simply don’t really care; they see the reel and comment rude stuff/whatever comes to mind/ is perpetuated by the comment section then they go about their day 🥲

A suggestion for a future video: I am wondering where you keep your collection of vintage/antique clothes (and hats!). Surely there is not enough room in your apartment. I am also curious about how you store them and keep them in good condition. In any case, a tour of your collection would be fun.

Somebody needs to fact check this. Just casually listening I found a few errors. There is no cure for covid. Women don't get paid less money for the same work. Even if you accept the gender pay gap it only says all women averaged out make less than what men get paid on average. It says nothing about amount of pay for the same job.

I agree with you that Hollywood, in particular this adaptation, doesn’t know how to write soft characters. This movie gave the impression that secretly, Anne felt superior to nearly everyone around her. They also don’t know how to write religious people, always making them fanatical and unreasonable. Finally they don’t know how to write young children, hiring plainly 11 or 12 yr olds to play 5 yr olds, who then look ridiculous delivering lines like “mommy, my tummy hurts.”

I have body positive friends that start taking ozempic- and its greate. The skinnier the better they feel. Of course they dont go to new kim K weight just to the weight that let them feel good, play with kids, stop taking food as a medicine for all thier problem. Body positive doesnt mean- I want to stay fat forever.
