I work outside the home, but have a home based office. You have a job, the channel, you are sharing to us. Listen to me. It is okay. I struggled keep my house going when I had kids at home. What helped me 1. Purging things and toys that weren’t being used or played with. 2. Teaching my kids chores. This was huge. Screen time or having playing with friends was earned. 3. Writing lists!! Another huge win. My brain was all over the place. Now I look back and think I probably had adult ADD. I never finished a project and often started another one without finishing a the current one. Last I stopped over booking myself and my family. If we had a party or event I had to plan ahead. Otherwise I was drowning later. You’ll figure it out but it takes intentional planning and finding balance of what works! Good luck!!

Karrie, firstly you are a remarkable young woman and secondly I completely understand what you mean when you refer to the struggle of juggling everything. Honestly, what has helped me is mindfulness and working on my perfectionist nature. We can sometimes hold ourselves to entirely unattainable standards. I heard in a podcast once..."if everything is important then nothing is important". In other words we need to prioritize and compartmentalize. Sounds easy and common sense but it took work on my part. Also, to say that its ok if everything on my to do list does not get done in one day. If I did all the home improvements you do I would never even get the dishwasher unloaded 😂. Prioritize and give yourself credit for what you do get done. I am also on my own fitness journey, only took me 3 years to get going but I am loving it. Little steps and form those habits first before moving on to the next step. Love your channel, you and hubby are doing amazing ❤

Seriously, it’s like I can go for maybe 5 days & I keep the house looking so great, then…I just fall back & then when I get back into keeping house again, it’s 3 times bigger of a job. So, I say all this to say, it’s ok. Guess what? The world did not come to a screeching halt because I didn’t keep my house perfectly clean. Two things I’ve learned in life, and I’ll be 51 soon! Always take the first ladle full for yourself or leave yourself a ladle full! I workout first thing in the morning no matter what else needs doing. It wasn’t easy to do a lot of the time but I’ve perfected it now! Finally! 😂 And! We can’t be good at everything everyday. Hey Karrie, I have to say the struggle is real. I myself right now as I type this comment out are sitting on the couch. I still have kitchen rags and towels to fold and put away but they are sitting in the dryer lol. As far as discipline to keep my house maintained and not messy is that I have particular days where I do my house chores. I used to not be that way at all. But once I established a routine, I pretty much stuck with it. Mondays are my bathroom cleaning days. My kitchen I make sure I do it in the evening. I'm a night owl, so for me it's easier to do it around 10 to 11 at night. I do my laundry on a certain day of the week that way I know it gets done. However in the summer my schedule gets a little off and crazy but that's to be expected. We do homeschool and my husband works from home, but we all work together to keep it maintained. My daughter is in control of her room now, she keeps the upstairs clean overall but I clean the bathroom up there. Don't fret, my house gets messy too at times!!!

Life is definitely a juggling act. Ive got 6 kids, my husband, 3 dogs, starting a new business venture and obviously a house to take care of too. I found, for me, the best thing to stay on top of it all is to schedule my entire day.. literally from wake up to bedtime even including showers and other daily tasks. Down to the 15 min mark. It takes discipline to follow it daily but its the only way i manage to keep all of my cups full and my families cups too!!! But with that said, youre absolutely right.. motivation without discipline is basically all the energy with no direction to follow which just leads to chaos! Give yourself some grace though! Somedays its enough to just make sure kids are fed, stay safe and hubby has a smile.. you will get back on track!!

I feel you on the motivation part! Have you ever tried to go by a cleaning schedule each day. Kimmy with she’s in her apron has some videos on some cleaning schedules she uses. It’s like each day she tackles certain things each week in certain zones in her house. It helps me a lot . I need something to keep me focused. Check her out and let me know what you think. She basically created her own system based like the fly lady’s but it it designed for her and her families need. So you may want to follow hers and make it fit your life, it really helps me

Had to comment again I am so proud of how you made your channel work. So happy for you. I know what it’s like to be down on your luck too. My husband and I when we had our first baby back in 1989 we got so low on money that we couldn’t afford happy meal for our little boy. But now we are so lucky my husband started his own roofing and construction business about 32 years ago and we do good now. Two kids later and 6 grandkids later. Our sons work for my hubby and we all live close together. I’m thankful . Then my daughter is close also. I just told my husband tonight I feel like I’m only 37 years old because I was talking about going to be married 37 years I said how can that be lol. But I’m thankful but overwhelmed sometimes but I make it work. But definitely much easier than being poor.

Be easy on yourself. There is a huge difference between lived in & nasty. One thing I do is every morning I set a timer 30 or 45 minutes I clean as much as I can & move on to my next task. You would be surprised how much you can do in 30 minutes. You are doing fabulous don't be so hard on yourself. ❤

Life is like a juggling act! I have a very hard time but I do have depression and anxiety. Some days I feel like all I want to do is clean then other days I really don’t feel like doing anything. I really think it is because my family really doesn’t even try to clean up after themselves and they’re adults and it gets so crazy around here that I have to leave every few weeks and go to hotel to have alone time it is my therapy lol. Sometimes my husband will come spend the night but other times he chooses to be around all the chaos. Love all your videos though❤
