Disposable heroes rhythm breaks my brain. I have tried so many times to learn it. Something about it just doesn't compute I can't hold it in thought. *I literally can't*. It's weird. One of my fav songs though!

I copy for my own benefit: Mangoes Cost Too MuchHace 2 años “Tip for learning most fast riffs: increase speed by .25 and try to keep up. Then go back to normal speed and it feels slower” Karri Hanninen Hace 2 años For the speed playing faster is good practice but for accuracy you should start slower ;) Using both works wonderfully for me (y)

Many of Metallica's hardest riffs are hard due to lots of down-picking, gallopy picking, and extended power chords, as well as a need for moving quickly across the neck.

The REALLY hard part is playing these rhythm riffs while singing. How James can write such complexity and sing is beyond me. I can't do both no way never could! Also... *anyone else learn BLACKENED wrong from the tab books?* Before the internet you had to buy books shocking I know. So if the scorer made a mistake it was published and done.
@juanballadares35034 жыл бұрын

@A-Milkdromeda-Laniakea-Hominid4 жыл бұрын
Same for Megadeth. I learned all of Rust In Peace from a book. Tab is awesome for getting the general vibe, but then your ears will tell you how it goes. I'm classically trained, and could sight read score once upon a time lol. And I still say tab is the best thing ever. Back when I was getting that classical training the books for like Van Halen were in score only... like seriously wtf right... even if they were published FOR guitar, Eddie's solos in score aren't exactly legible. But before tab most books were "dual or triple use" ie. they were meant for piano/guitar/vocals (because yes every lyric was scored out too sometimes.) Tab changed EVERYTHING. And so did Hetfield and Mustaine: the tab books were published a decade after those early albums were released. M & M changed the way mainstream saw metal.

But yeah same goes for Dave. Highly talented players, it's no accident they both got rich and famous separately.

Yahli Its an Ibanez Prestige RG652AHMFX. I had the same guitar but had to send it back because the frets were completely unlevel and the neck pocket was messed up. Granted, if the guitar WAS in perfect condition I would have LOVED to keep it because the thing is damn gorgeous. The only problem with the 652 models is that right now its their most popular Prestige so they are building so many of them that every one of them cant get the best quality control you would expect from a Prestige. I was very disappointed, but I ended up returning this guitar and threw a few more hundred down for an ESP Horizon NT2. The ESP came in perfect condition and setup...didnt have a single flaw...granted it was $2,000 compared to the 652's $1,200 price tag.
