Will he break the world record in the 400 meter hurdles in his opening?

Obviously, if he wants it

Yes, will break it at Bislett - and again in Tokyo :)

If you haven't run this race or at least know what a good time is you really can't appreciate how great this run was.

Isn't there supposed to be 8 hurdles in this race? I only count 7

The world record is going to fall this year. Half a second faster improvement over 300m hurdles in one year which is a big jump; last year, he was 0.09 second behind the world record for 400m hurdles, so with his improvement this year, he will get it, possibly at Bislett in early July or in Stockholm or Monaco. Can't wait to hear his roar after he gets the record !!!

Looks promising for a Wr. When Warholm allmost took the Wr in stockholm he had the time 33.9 after 300 meters

@@samanimations2002 No, but I was expecting a time around 46"30 to 46"40. Not 45"94 !!

I’m placing my bets on a 46.59 by the end of the season based on this. It sounds ridiculous to even say that.
@jkdure3 жыл бұрын
Just to play with numbers. Warholms 46.87 (Stockholm) had 33.9 after 300 meters (hit last hurdle) 46.87 - 33.9 = 12.97 last 100 m. If he during this year manage to do 33,27 first 300 m + 12.70 (not hitting any hurdles) = 45:97 That had been awsome
@timn44813 жыл бұрын
Based on this i think a low 46 is not out of the question.
@timn44813 жыл бұрын
@@jkdure thats not taking into account that he's running only 300m here. He'll be going at a slower pace over the first 300..all u can say is that he's ran a 46.8 and he's now running considerably faster than when he was in that form. 46.5 sounds reasonable but we all want him to go faster.
@jkdure3 жыл бұрын
@@timn4481 ofcourse i was way optimistic, but on the other hand warholm was only 0.13 behind his old Pb 300m when he got 46.8. If it is optimal conditions and he does the same this year, he would pass 300 m at 33.4. If he manage to do the last 100 m below 12.6 sec high 45 is in range
@Elliottklassen3 жыл бұрын
@@timn4481 To be honest, I don’t actually know if he will run a slower pace over the first 300 like you said. We’ve all seen how he runs…

ok. as long as the no of hurdles and their height is the same: do we care? Besides, wud the WR be approved if the hurdles were placed wrong? Guessing not much "slack" in terms of requirements that needs to be fullfilled in order to declare a WR...... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/300_metres_hurdles

Of course Finland has the record. It's a race the Faster countries don't run. Never heard of it.
@veridicusmaximus60103 жыл бұрын
Huh? First it is Norway not Finland. Second other fast countries have run this race. If you never heard of it that is on you - it has been around for decades and run at American HS for just as long.
