If Platoon is your first Oliver Stone film, highly recommend checking out JFK. People think it’s just going to be a boring 3-hour biopic, but it’s actually a nonstop onslaught of conspiracies with some of the greatest actors of the 90s in some of their wildest roles.

JFK is genuinely the most stacked cast ever put to tape and it’s in service of a three hour cocaine-fuelled crackpot theory that argues that the President was shot because of some feverish gay conspiracy that makes precisely zero sense… and it is still somehow the highest of high art that will have you going 👁️ throughout its runtime, Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland just steal the show, Joe Pesci too. Two of these are barely in the film too!!! Just bonkers

Twisters all the way for me. I watched it once at a early screening and the second at my drive in theater and it was a blast!! The original was one of my favorites as a kid by being fascinated with the vehicles, DOROTHY, and of course Aunt Meg's breakfast. Twisters has great nods and references from the original including DOROTHY but as DOROTHY V. It's a mystery how Kate and her friends got DOROTHY V in the beginning of the film. I do love the original and the new one if you feel it chase it!! The original will always have a special place in my heart! Rest in peace Bill Paxton and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I watched (500) Days of Summer (8.5/10) - _Watched it for the first time last month and I'm kinda surprised by how well directed it was. The way it was presented coupled with a non linear storytelling is what makes this movie such a great watch. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel were great, Chole Grace also had a minor yet memorable early role. Kinda sucks that Marc Webb never made anything this good again, his The Amazing Spider-Man movies were really bad._ X-Men (7/10) - _This movie feels more like an experiment to see if it's possible to make a compelling X-Men movie and overall they were pretty successful at that I'd say. The casting is great too however, the action scenes feels very lacking and were passable at best. Most of the character portrayals were good except Cyclops, these movies did absolutely nothing with Cyclops and made him look like wimp who is always jealous of Wolvy. Also this is mostly a nitpick but this movie looks kinda dull, X-Men are colourful characters and I'm not a fan of the way they look in these movies aside from Mystique and Magneto. That said, I did liked this movie overall and I can definitely understand why some people really love this movie especially if this was your fight exposure to these characters. Solid movie overall but has some obvious flaws._ X2: X-Men United (8.5/10) - _My thoughts on X2 is very similar to my thoughts on The Road Warrior. Both are sequels that are considerably better than the original. X2 is just a lot better at handling a larger cast of characters and has a much stronger script. The action scenes are also quite alot better than the first. The opening scene with Nightcrawler is a standout. In general it does everything much better than its predecessor. The central characters also gets to do much more here except Cyclops ofc, he basically gets captured early on and then appears near the end of the movie only to lose Jean lol. Brian Cox was really good as William Stryker and in general I think Stryker was the best antagonist in these first X-Men movies and acts as a great follow up from the original exploring more of Logan's past. It also gave us the best movie X-Men score. Great movie overall. Also, this movie surprisingly has no Stan Lee cameo._ X-Men: The Last Stand (5/10) - _To put it simply, it's a mess. A pretty entertaining mess I'd say but a mess nonetheless. The pheonix storyline is absolutely wasted and Magneto's brotherhood of mutants storyline is severely undercooked. Also, hated how quickly the movie just killed off Professor X and Cyclops like they were nothing, Mystique just loses her powers and Magneto simply abandons her just like that. I feel like this movie should've just focused on Magneto's storyline alone since it was built up from the first two movies, the last minute director change didn't helped either._ The Boys, Season 4 (Episodes 6-8) (7/10) - _Its basically more of what I said about the first 5 episodes of this season. Not a bad season by a long shot but definitely the weakest one by far. The last episode was very unpredictable and although I have my problems, the way it ended made me very excited for whats to come._ House of the Dragon, Season 2 (7/10) - _Its all a setup. A giant preparation. I don't really mind a slow burn setup but there must be some kind of resolution to keep the viewers interested. The performances absolutely carried this season but even then this season didn't have anyone particularly standout. Paddy Considine was incredible in season 1, so good that the show runners bought him back for some dreams sequences. Rhys Ifans could've been that standout actor this season if only his character wasn't banished from the entire season. Also, the final episode feels like a penultimate. That being said, I didn't disliked this season by any means, Dance of the Dragons was really great and by far the highlight of the season. Both Aegon and Aemond are way more prolific this season. I do feel characters like Rhaenyra and Daemon lacked that complexity of their season 1 counterparts. Honestly, I wouldn't mind all this setup if we didn't had to wait freaking two more years to get a season 3. Anyways, it was definitely a disappointing season but I really hope season 3 delivers and pushes the story forward in a more accessible pace._ Alright bye

You have such bizarre taste, I'm not sure you'll enjoy it, but my favorite Oliver Store film is U TURN. It's a straightforward film noir/dark comedy, but it's also about the bad karma of the United States, as a subtle underlying theme.

The Disney nature docs are SOOO BAD! It really puts into perspective how good the filmmaking is in the BBC documentaries like planet earth. They really revolutionized a lot of camera tech with those and the editing is fantastic
