The sentence wouldn't start over if there is a successful conviction in the re-trial. There is timed served, which just means that if they are successfully reconvicted, the sentencing will be the same as stipulated by law, and since they stayed incarcerated the entire time, it will just continue. In terms of whether he should be set free, I personally think that he should be offered the opportunity to prove his innocence in the retrial, and by that i mean, prove that the prosecution does not have enough to convict him of murder based on the "EVIDENCE". Mek the system do the work, and do the work properly. In the initial case, there was a lot of mismanagement on the side of the government, which if allowed to go unchecked, woulda show say dem can do anything anyway dem feel like, and get weh wid it. So now, if there is a re-trial, them affi go walk pon nail, cause all eyes on them. And if dem can get them conviction dah wah deh, I am in support of that, if they cant, den dem case did weak to begin wid and they were depending on the bully tactics to get the conviction. Naav nutten against the artist, nuh really business bout the deceased, cause a nuh like he was a saint, what I am for is accountability, the rule of law isn't perfect, no system is, but we affi have it, and it need fi work.
