Sorry if this is a dumb and late question but how would one cheat? is it because the 206 is sealed they maybe tinkered with it or am i just completely lost, brand new to 206 racing so just wondering - definitely saw them take off in that train tho at around 11

In road racing there is usually a pusher with a motor that isn’t legal then pulls off on the final lap. Sprint racing it’s a little hard to do so but if tech isn’t strong they still find ways to cheat.

The trick to a free wheeling bearing is no oil or grease. Clean and free of all lubricants and just before the race you soak them in wd40. If you want that free roll, that's the only way I have seen.

This is very true but some still find a way. Or in road racing you have a pusher and the pusher never finishes the last lap. They come in cause they said they broke lol

When you say add a tooth I'm assuming your talking about the clutch tooth because the axle tooth would slow you down on straight away.

So you’re saying that these three guys had already figured out who is going to win the race by having at least one illegal motor that would do all the pushing and then he would drop back on the last lap or so and and not go through tech? You have to hand it to them. It’s cheating but until the rules are changed, unfortunately it’s not! So next year at the drivers meeting I’m sure you’ll hear these words “So, if in the opinion of the officials...”

206 class should strictly not allow drafting, that way best motor, and setup, and driving skill wins the race, not the 3,4, or 5 karts that start a draft at the beginning of the race, thats not even. I raced 206 in 23, hated it, not fun at all. Im sticking with tag, X30 and ROK GP.

do you guys even use brakes? if you don't maybe you could pull the pads off the rotor before you go out. but don't touch the brakes afterwards unless you need to. are you running 35 chain or 219? 219 has less rolling resistance. what about running mag wheels? what bearings are you running? how much oil is in your motor? how is your front-end setup? i'd say you would want zero toe and a bunch of camber. also the fast guys look like when they are drafting they are super smooth and hooked up the whole time. you seem to be bumping harder dancing around and not staying connected. smooth is fast. also, there are new plastic nose fairings that are supposed to be low drag. Also how is your seat position? i'd think you would want to lean it back and get out of the air as much as possible. how is your air pressure can you add some pressure? if you eliminate all of your rolling resistance then you could run a tooth lower in your gearing. just some thoughts, looks like a lot of fun!

You can't run up front, let alone win, in any karting spec class, without cheating. Always been that way. Always will be that way. Best thing to do is to claim their motors. If the rules where you run have such a rule.
