Also I can't help feel like history is repeating a bit. Aston won WEC and Le Man's recently. They come back and on their redebut they score one point, during the season that the low rake cars look to weak compared to the higher rakes. Aston could just as well have another bad season and be chucked on the pile like before. Like with Lotus and Caterham.

@@Qwepzy I don't think Stroll is doing too bad right now tbh. His last race looked alright, the machinery didn't but he looked alright. Still, I wouldn't rate him over guys like Gasly or Russell right now. Vettel however, looks bad rn. I mean he deserves a few races to find form so I'll give him time but much is the same, Perez, Ricciardo, even Bottas is looking better than him right now. Like on track I want a confident line up during contentious seasons, I don't feel confident enough in Vettel or Stroll tbh.

Sticking a new badge on a copy of a Mercedes doesn't make it Aston Martin overnight. I can see it becoming a top class team with their own engineering if they stick with the project

@@fintonmainz7845 Except it's not the same car though is it. F1 literally did a piece on this the other day about the AMR21 being the only new car on the grid so who am I supposed to believe. Self professed know it all finton mainz from the comment section or the people who actually have the information and expertise to hand.. Aston is not the only car on the grid using listed parts. That doesn't make it the same. Come on dude, you can do better. What makes a car is it's backbone, the shell, chassis. That is the rock on which the house is built and this year Aston has built their own, separate from Mercedes.

I seem to recall the same experts telling everyone that the 2 low rake cars would fare better with the new aero regs when "some fool on social media" like myself was saying the opposite. Now i did exagerate for effect but this year's AM is basically a kit made from Mercedes parts (being the "listed parts" you mentioned. However, im not dismissing what you wrote. You are partially correct.
