Kasey Chambers came by the paediatric cardiac ward where I was working 5 years ago to cheer up the children, some of whom had been there for months. She sat in the playroom, with patients, their families and staff arrayed all around her on the floor or on the little chairs, and with just her 2 backing guitarists/singers, filled the room with pure and beautiful music. Being there that day, as her clear voice soared through this and other songs was a simple and unadulterated pleasure.

This song came out when I was a kid and helped a lot with my rock-bottom self-esteem. I remember watching the film clip on TV with my Mum for the first time. Mum gently put her hand on her heart and said "I just want to give that beautiful girl a long hug." She's a lovely person.

Sad to see how insecure teens can be. I know I was one. As I got older Ive realised that I have a real talent for my craft which counts to me and brings satisfaction to myself and those I work for. We live in a very superficial world sadly and as a young guy I would never have the confidence to just ask a girl out even though I'd had a number ask me out.
