I'm an artist and I worked in two different coffee shops in England. I ended up working there because is quite difficult to find jobs in what you do, so you end up doing some crappy jobs. Working there is not as chill and peaceful as people think. Instead it's a non-stop job with an stressful enviroment, listening to the same songs over an over again for hours. Depending on the location of the coffee shop you could end up making 5 drinks per minute with long queues of people wanting a quick coffee and getting angry because you didn't make it in 5 seconds. So when you finish working you don't really have anergy nor creativity to sit and paint.

It's true, lately I've been going out to draw a lot which is a new thing for me since I live in a tiny village so I always have to drive a while to get to a nice café or anything. But it has been a really great work environment for me and I got loads of ideas and was really productive which is super nice!

This is an adorable illustration! I loved to work (read and write) at cafes during university and when I worked in other countries, as the apartment was always so empty there. :) I like the busyness of these places. :)

I don’t have a Starbucks near me (it’s about 2 hours away) but 15 minuets away from me is a coffee shop called Zaraffas and it’s kinda like Starbucks. It’s really good and because it’s not Starbucks it’s not packed 24/7 so there is plenty of peace and quiet for me to draw. Also I watched your boats video and the painting in public one and the koi watercolour kit looked awesome so I bought it and it arrived the other day. I’ve never been into painting or watercolour but I got the koi set and it’s so fun to use. I’m definitely going to be using watercolour more now
