Kashmir is an amazing song that takes me to somewhere else when I hear it. I usually stop whatever I am doing and close my eyes to take it all in. To hear you describe the complexity of recreating this song makes me realize how special this song is, not to me but to others who really "get into" the music. Thank you.

Thanks, Gretchen. Great series on Kashmir. I definitely learned a few things. I appreciate your discussion on the intricacies of this song. I like how you wrote some of the fill melodies and I will incorporate them into my arsenal. I also appreciate your discussion of your gear. I look forward to watching more videos! 🎸🎵🎶

Not here on your Offcial channel but yesterday I Watched two or three times your rendition of "ten Years Gone" live here and there and I Loved it so much. Then I got my forgotten "Physical Graffitti" album, and heard the original song. I don´t know how to say it... But I Like yours best !!! Yours is slower and sounds more neat, It´s supposed to be a nostalgic, almost sad song. The 1975 one sounds faster and muddy. Those chords of the main melody sticks on ones brain forever. Beautiful !!

I was able to buy these Dimarzio 59s with the special Nickel covers that only fit this pickup. These are the best PAF pickups IMHO. And your playing is a testament to that..

Love this video, Gretchen. You gals do a GREAT job covering Kashmir. Have you ever heard the famous Zep train wreck in Kashmir during the June 23, 1977 (For Badgeholders Only) show? Personally, I love it. So cool to hear them (mostly JPJ) screw up and then try to find their way back! I also remember reading an interview with JPJ where he said they he put a note on his keyboard reminding him of some of the changes. xo

Is that a special Two Rock Model? Not seeing it on website. Tube layout if you know?(El 84s, 6V6s, 6L6s?) Speaker cab set up? 4x12s? Speaker types if known? Celestions/Other. Wattages. Curious how you found your stage amp? Be interesting to here your tone journey or did it all happen rather quickly? Thx!

Excellent video-1st thing is dedicate 1 guitar to "DADGAD" Tuning.I primarily use my S G's to my set,but noticed that switching from Standard tuning on the same guitar is not a good idea because it goes out of tune faster.I use my ES-339 for drop tuning & DADGAD because there something about the neck that just "feels" right,I would rather use my main S G but the neck is much thinner & the decsending line requires some beef to the neck. There is also "the fill" you have to keep counting because your playing live where of course the recording is layered N you have to comeback "in" on time.Yeah it's good advice to write it out because ODD measures will throw you off another key is regarding pedals less is more/There are times when I use & experiment w/ my Moog Moogerfooger Phaser & my E H Small Stone but w/ Page espessially live He uses very little of the effect/it's there but subtly/It's very east to Trip out & over do it.But always remember that your Playing KASHMIR & not trying to copy Page/So do your own thing-The Song has many ways it can be interpret which leaves room to do other things for example You can do a whole "Indian solo by following Jones Keyboard section's.Main thing is "Tight but Loose"/Love her playing N gives great lil tips...

first heard this tune going 110 in a '69 GTX. great for cruising. played bass on this way back in some gig - train wreck to the point everyone was playing a different part. the female singer called it off, said something " like sorry folks we tried ". huge embarrassing. you have a chart with improvs, brilliant! BTW, amp sounds like a freight train - good get. Ü ♫
