Thanks 🙏. You can use regular rice for this. Ver is the actual spice which brings flavour and colour in this recipe. You can use red chilli powder,cumin powder, ginger powder and a pinch of kashmiri garam masala if you don't have Ver. But the flavour will be different 😊
