Kasm Workspaces - Create Custom Images

A walk through creating a custom desktop container image geared towards video editing. In this video we create a public git repository in Gitlab at gitlab.com/kasm-tech-public/w... which contains the source code for our custom desktop. In a later video, we will add a pipeline to this project, that will build the desktop image in a CI pipeline on a schedule and push to a central repository.

I want to make a nixos image, how do I start because there is no core image

Looks like customized image won't work with Community version, I kept getting error when launched the session

The list of what you can't do in the community version is very short and running custom images is something you can definitely do. Please use our community issue tracker if you are having issues. github.com/kasmtech/workspaces-issues/issues

Could you guys update the docker images for ARM64V8. As from raspberry to mac m1 to my cloud servers all are arm based system .

Many of our docker images are multi-architecture and work on arm64 transparently. I myself have an m1 Mac and run the full stack there and we have many people running Kasm on the raspberry Pi platform. @@KasmWorkspaces i want to run desktop-deluxe, desktop , tor those images i can't see any arm build at docker hub . Most of the apps already have arm build . I want to have that sandbox environment features and all of my system are based on ARM64 . Is there any short guide to build similar to desktop deluxe but for arm ? I am looking for docker based images only.

I feel like a need a tutorial for this tutorial it went to fast! In future videos, please can you put your inputs so they are not at the bottom of the screen where the KZbin UI gets in the way? That way it makes it easy pause the video and see what you typed.

Agreed! I'm just starting out with cloud and nerworking. I watched the video didn't understand the individual steps and went online for guides. Came back to this video and now I sort of understand it more. Going to dig some more about each tool.

Thanks for the feedback. As I set out to make more content for this release I will keep those two things in mind. As a developer, I am probably rushing to get the video done :)
