Hi. A few things that might help. I’m assuming you have git cloned the kasm workspace-images to your host and are building your custom image from there so the dockerfile can access the /src files? Also go to your kasm admin portal and to Compute, then Docker Agents and edit the agent config and set the “Automatically Prune Images” to “Off”. Most likely that kasm is pruning what you are building before it’s complete. Also you can use passwd to add a password in the dockerfile but you have to force bash shell eg RUN [“/bin/bash”, “-c”, “echo -e ‘kasm kasm’ | passwd kasm-user”] Also put additional hack close to the bottom of the dockerfile, just before the set user permission stuff, then the builds are much quicker as it only has to process the last bit.

hi, in version 1.13 you can make a new container from running session from kasmweb gui. i find that the easiest way to add custom software.

Yes you can I did find documentation but was looking to unlock superuser so I did not use it. Maybe I should have added that way to the video to :/ Thank you for the comment and watching the video.

I tried doing a snapshot from a running session with root enabled. After closing the current session and running the snapshot after removing root user. It gave an error trying to load.😢
