In terms of secondary option scanner I wouldn't recommend Malwarebytes since they never seemed to play nice being installed on the same machine. And some people may find that Kaspersky being based in Russia as an issue

Malwarebytes works fine as a second opinion malware scanner with Kaspersky if you add the exclusions.

In your opinion and experience, between Avast Free, Kaspersky Free and Bitdefender Free which is the most robust free AV, with low usage of PC resources and effective against 0-day malware attacks and data leaks?

That's a difficult question but most of it comes down to preference.

No any Antivirus can stop zero day attack zero day means refer the fact that the attacker discovered something that has not been fixed

@@barrywang2402Zero day means that AVs do not yet have code in their signatures that identifies malware. In this case, to protect against zero day attacks it is important that an AV has an excellent behavioral analysis module that blocks or mitigates the attack and in some cases some AVs have the roll back module for encrypted files.

Nice test. Sadly, Kaspersky seems to be retiring their free plan this year. I got a popup from them about the plan I'm using "could no longer receive updates or support".
