I still wish they’d kept doing this show. Or even if they made a show about their kids and you could see the characters grown up…

I vented to my friend about my eating disorder and everything and she didnt care she just took all the attention for herself, she didnt help me and left me to deal with it alone, and she expected me to care, thats happened for 6 years (the amoutlnt of time ive had my ed) and i only ended the friendship new years eve. It just makes me ache when i see kat because i can relate to her so much its actually unbelievable, and the constant feeling of being alone, it hurts

So interesting how Abby comments on Kat’s b*limia humour when Abby herself has an ED throughout the show.

I think series 1 parts should have been show. At 1 point, she is upset so she makes cupcakes. This all leads to the bigger problem

I love dance! The art ! To actually engage in it,plus I am older. I do yoga and contemporary dance. At my age, ballet plus I’m not willing to give up my love to eat. A foodie) not a ED though being honest, when my Dad passed,I ( I’m naturally built tall and slim) I experienced severe loss grief we were very close …..so I dropped 3 sizes. My normal size is 8 USA living in Cda.i dropped dangerously to a size 4……Back then I thought I was the perfect one” then one day I passed out,,…the rest is a blur. I never went to ED recovery . Therapy traditionally yes! It’s not cool to look like a toothpick. It’s cool to be well❤

Kind of unrelated but wtf was that interaction with Dr. Wicks?? Ending the conversation with "it might get a lot worse" instead of showing concern and interest in getting Tara's "friend"/Kat help is not only highly unprofessional, it's also scaring Tara and making it her responsibility to help Kat, which is a huge burden she shouldn't have to bear. They're teenagers who need guidance and help and shouldn't have to deal with those issues alone/amongst themselves. Especially because Dr Wicks likely has a lot of experience with academy students with eating disorders and should/could act accordingly. I'm aware it's only a show and I'm aware mental health and mental illness representation wasn't as common as it is today. But this always bothers me when rewatching the show. Dr Wicks of all people should know how painful and devastating eating disorders often are. If this were the reaction of any other character in the show it wouldn't matter as much (because mental illness representation and the general public's knowledge on it weren't as wide spread) but it's a doctor whose patients are dancers. Who are, sadly, prone to eating disorders and their consequences.

You're a grown man shitting on a show aimed at teenagers...bit weird innit? Also Australia has produced a lot of decent dramas over the years - Packed to the rafters, 800 words, The Heights, Playing for keeps were all great.
