Katadyn ceradyn water filter review

A review of the Katadyn ceradyn drip filter. I purchased this through JRH enterprises over a year ago and use it everyday. It is a well built and sturdy filter , that would be a great water filter for the survivalist/prepper or homesteader.

@azis1100 Ceramic filters do not filter fluoride unfortunately. You have to have an absorption element to capture fluoride. To escape forced fluoridation your best bet is capturing rain water or well water (both should be filtered for other things).

@delta69alpha I haven't heard of any failures and the sawyer is used around the world too. I think those statements are just a standard disclaimer just like they still tell people to treat the water after filtering it. A lot of people in the bushcraft / survival community are using them now. For about $40 I think you can't go wrong. I'm leaning towards getting the squeeze version because it uses standard water bottle threads. I think they have 5 different versions that do 1 million gallons.

I've been looking into the Sawyer filters that filter up to 1 million gallons down to 0.1 micron and they only cost around $40 on ebay

Great video! Can you tell me the heigh of the filter? I want to buy the Katadyn fitter to replace my Berky filter. The black filter from Berky like a piece of S***, people please beware don't buy BERKY. If you see BERKY water filter just run away like hell
