I was able to find the frozen Katahar at Apna Bazaar on Liberty Ave. I was worried about it being frozen and if the seeds would cook and they did. It was really delicious. Happy Diwali to you and your family Matthew.

Its been years since i've been to a Jhandi, but i had this vivid green curry with what looked like almond slices... But i think it might have been the katahar curry... Can you tell me if the curry can look like a vivid green color? Or do you think i'm getting my curries mixed up. All i remember that it was good!!
@matthewsguyanesecooking46012 жыл бұрын
Sometimes katahar can have a greener color. Depends on the spices added, the age of the katahar and even how it was cleaned. Most likely the thing that is the greenest in bhajee (spinach)
@SanguinaryStrife2 жыл бұрын
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 I was thinking of that too. Do you know what is that white cube thing some people put in the spinach curry? It looks like mozzarella but I know that it's not...

@@SanguinaryStrife Paneer? I've never heard of Guyanese people putting that in their spinach.

@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 yeah I had it at an Indian restaurant--i know they make things differently. But yes! It is paneer! Thanks so much!! Your videos are helpful!!
