Is this is green jackfruit? It looks like that to me. Never had Jackfruit green or young like that. Have you tried it ripe and barbequed?
@TasteofTrini6 жыл бұрын
Yardie Belly TV It's a family to the Jackfruit. This is Chataigne or Breadnut, which is usually made as a savory dish. Jackfruit is usually more sweet and used in desserts.
@adrongoddard74796 жыл бұрын
Yes I thought the same thing, although I believe that Chataigne/Breadfruit, Jackfruit and Durian fruit are in the same family tree.

Hello! First time I watch your channel. I’m looking for a new recipe for breadnuts. I always use it when is completely ripe and the skin is soft, no need to use a knife. Do you have a recipe when is completely ripe? It is way easier when they fall from the tree because they are ripe.

I love Chataigne seeds, I get them when ever I visit TNT they don't have it here in Los Angeles, so you have to buy the whole jack-fruit and it can cost $8-15 each and remove the seeds and its a pain to do it, and you only get about 20-50 seeds, depending on the size, glove are a requirement, but for some reason it taste nothing like the ones in Trinidad.
