We lived out in that area for a while. There are some nice orchids to be found in the bush reserves and even along the roadside in some places. Nice to see Lake Ewly is stil available for overnight stops. Love the All Ages Park, haven't seen it in person yet. The miniature railway is great too.

@ 4:32 the old winery. I lived in Katanning until the age of 11. That building was so enigmatic. Such a mystery to a young boy, with it's commanding position on the hill overlooking the town. So glad it's been preserved.

Hi Ben thanks for the great comment , no caves to camp in around here LOL I have lived all over QLD in the 80's wished YT was around back then , have also lived in Sydney , would love to get back over there in the future , retainment is not that far away .

Thanks Peter. Last time I was in Katanning we stayed in the posh hotel, very nice but expensive. I did wonder what would attract people to go there, but all in all, it was not a bad 2 night stay before we moved on to Albany.

It's a shame , but the responsibility also falls on the owners of the park , the unsafe BBQ was a concern !
