She was a great package, Technically strong in her younger days and her movements were always beautifully timed to the music. Fiercely competitive

How is that technically strong? A shaky triple toe loop, triple salchow that she repeated after doubling the initial attempt, and a double axel. You call that technical ? What else is technical in this shitty program ?

Well she was the first woman to land a triple toe salchow in 1981 when she was 15 and did 2L 3T combination until 1985. Back then that was technically strong. I take it by your use of profanities that you don’t like her, everyone has their own opinion but there’s no need to be rude and unkind. Oh and the **shitty programme** won her the European and World championships twice and the Olympics....

Well it was better than any other femal skater in 1984, so it was enough to win the world championships. Did you skate better in 1984???

Katarina won all 3 phases of this competition. However, the field was weak - Tiffany Chin and Rosalynn Sumners did not compete here.

Medicore choreographically & weak technically. She had some of the ugliest positions in skating but, nice music

@@rekr3316 She won because of her athleticism, extraordinary competetiveness and enormous beauty and charisma. The best skaters from that generation never won big championships because they didn't have these specific traits.
