I live in Kent, not too far from where Kate grew up right between Dartford/Bexleyheath! I past there a lot-esp due to work as have many meetings around Kent, had one today at Welling Youth Centre! My friend Fraser him and his family's GP was Kate's dad Robert Bush who worked in South East London in Plumstead. And we used to speak to him loads when he finished work or when we was in Kent in Bexleyheath,Welling, Dartford, Swanley, Chislehurst, Orpington etc, on our bikes. He sometimes gave us a lift back to Kent from Plumstead-Such a nice man! + sometimes said hello to Hannah as well and she would make us massive jug of orange squash + met Kate/Del Palmer few times etc Great memories I will always cherish! 🥰

Her own actions of previous life ( male /female body) takes her to be born in a good family. 🙏Henry Ford founder Ford Motors - practitioner of Yoga , understands the Spiritual Science of reincarnation.The wheel of Samsara. 🌷🙏 Each individual immortal SOUL is unique just like our finger's/thumb's prints/palms' lines are unique. 🙏The Soul is spiritual, thus is not male nor female, Not Yellow, black nor white.

The best documentary about Kate for me. Documentaries don't need narrating a lot of the time. There are periods of silence, where the pictures tell you everything. There's a lovely pace and honesty to the whole thing. Also the family shots show how much everyone just lets each other talk. No-one is trying to take centre stage. Lovely footage.

There are artists that follow one form or another of contemporary style or genre that defines them, then there's Kate Bush projecting a relatively unique blend of dance and song that transcends the norm... a uniqueness that takes a desire to unravel it's layers of non-ubiquitous elements and requires deeper understanding to explore and fully appreciate it more. Kate no doubt lend herself to be vulnerable of her vocal and physical interpretations, and it is in this element that elevate her appeal to her fans further. This is hardly the art that can be taken for face value; it is rich in depth and breadth, and requires a openness to appreciate its subtle cues and vague nuances. The songs are not just stories, and the dance is not just motion; they're intricately intertwined and meaningful; sometimes awkward, but with a graceful purpose, the voice sometimes gritty and grating, but piercing of inner feelings and emotions. If a chord strikes a nerve in one way or another, it is for a reason, and you may find the inner most feelings and emotions you suppressed are once again tapped by Kate Bush's talent. Perhaps the one most haunting and emotionally poignant song she sings is 'Wuthering Heights;' of the ghostly Catherine trying to enter through the window of the manor, not yet fully aware of the predicament she is in, where she says, Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy. Come home. I'm so cold! Let me in-a-your window. This is such a terrible state to be in, all alone, dead, and not knowing what to make of this new strangeness and detachment from a world she once known. But it is her love and not her jealousy I feel she is missing most of all for Heathcliff, and now it is too late. It must be now her only hope for him to remember her, to feel pain, remorse and or empathy for her as she now hopes to tug at his soul, his inner consciousness. That all along, despite Catherine's wish for uprightness in society and of Heathcliff's lack of standing and gentlemanly grace, she loved him regardless most of all. What haunts the heart more than a love that never transpired fully. .

Kate Bush is a complete artist, a total artist a kind of "renaissance woman". Before her, singers were singers, dancers were dancers, mimes, mimes, musicians, musicians and writers writers. She was the 1st to, not only do all five roles, but excel at all five. Yes, there was Bowie and Peter Gabriel, great musicians and singer/songwriters, but just decent mimes and none of them was an outstanding dancer. At the time, I didn't realise that she was barely 20 when "wuthering heights" was released. And already had 4 years of professional carreer. Mind blowing.

Wow Kate is an incredible innovator, the styling and choreography of the songs light years ahead of what anyone else was doing. The headset mic originated with Kate Bush!
@okgo8315
@okgo8315 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right.....she was the first to use the headset mic..... I developed it specially for her. The choreography was conceived before the sound rehearsals and it was then realised that she couldn't hold a mic whilst singing, in fact she couldn't even SING Hammer Horror, so we recorded it live at full production rehearsals in the Rainbow Theatre London and she danced only to it during the tour. So a solution was the Headset Mic.

Kate has said in another interview that she did enjoy performing, and that there were other reasons why it took a back seat, relating to trying to manage the schedule of recording: I get the feeling she struggles to keep up with her own creative output! Perhaps if she had performed live more often we would not have had the wonderful studio albums she has created, so who knows? Maybe it was a good thing in some ways. Unfortunately I missed the 2014 concerts, and I'm pretty sad about that.

Wonderful post ! For a long time in my late teens and early in my adulthood I dreamed that I could meet her, and to get involved with her somehow. But the reality is harder. After all these years, those feelings are still alive inside me. When I see her, and listening her songs, she gives me the sensation that I´m in the fairytale, she is a fairy, singing for me and looks like that a fairytale become a reality. She is in my imagination, always in my dreams. She is wonderful !!! Thank you !

@ Winnipegger I’m on the west coast of 🇨🇦 and subscribed to a fanzine titled ‘Breakthrough’ done by a couple in rural Manitoba I believe. They organized BushCon which took place in Winnipeg. I wish I had gone. The fanzine fizzled out when it became apparent that Kate had no interest in ever touring again. I lost all those fanzines years ago but still have the BushCon shirt somewhere. I’ll dig it out. I recall the couple’s names were Dale and Robyn but it was a LONG time ago. Like >40 years ago.

There's so much more to Kate than Wuthering Heights. The interviews on this, for example, but not limited to, are quite special.

Kate Bush was a part of me in the 70's and 80's. Sadly we drifted apart for a while, but like an ex lover, it's so nice to hook up from time to time.

I can't believe how many good songs they missed in the final edit of the hammersmith video. The set was about 21 songs long and they only released half of it! It makes no sense!
