This is one of the downsides of being a teenager in Korea, not being able to see Kate Bush. Hopefully, she does another set of shows in the future

Well, I don't like Beyonce at all (I will not mention all my reasons, that's not the right place) but everyone is free to enjoy all types of music. I love artists that are very different to Kate (although Kate has remained at the top of my list for years) and that can touch me very deeply; so I'm not that surprised by your interview. But some people like to create hierarchies and they can't comprehend that Kate and Beyonce can stir the same level of emotion. But I guess you didn't try to compare them. You just said that they touch you. By the way, I think you turned out as a nice and decent person who was definitely looking forward to Kate's concert - absolutely more charming and pleasant than the couple singing Cloudbusting just after you.

Inyourlap I worked at Origins many many years ago. Beyonce loves Origins btw. Anyways she bumped into me with her elbow and said "Oh I am so sorry." She was always very polite. But she's certainly no Kate Bush. I also absolutely adore all Hammer Horror films (as Kate did the homage in her song 'Hammer Horror'). Alison Moyet is pretty great as well. I wasn't at the concert.

Oh my, I am on a Kate Bush fan forum again ... 'Fans' judgmental as hell about people they don't even know ... Proves the more that you have learned nothing from Kate's music about "tread lightly" and "where angels fear to interfere"

That lunatic mentioning Beyoncé in the same sentence as Kate? Get a grip man. One's a glorified fame academy graduate with a team of choreographers and songwriters on hand to enhance her 'product, ' and the other's a bona fide musical genius who writes, plays, produces and choreographs every single piece of her wonderful art. It's like talking about Justin Beiber in the same breath as Prince. Dear me.

Hmmmm....a lot of hostility for a bunch of normal Kate Bush fans. Ok, so I'll agree that the poor queen name-checking Beyonce in the same sentence as Kate made me almost vomit but other than that I thought they were ok. And the girl that said that even though she paid for the tickets she still felt that she'd won something: I know EXACTLY how she felt. Roll on Tuesday night !!!

Patrick Kennedy I just think people should say nicer things. Kate surely does not want her fans (and non fans) disparaging each other on such a great occassion. This summer of ALL summers (with world events and American cops gunning down our own citizens without reasonable cause) i think we should all be nicer. Is it really that hard to just say something nice about others ?
@Omegaman196910 жыл бұрын
***** Quite right. It's all very childish but also tongue in cheek, well on my part anyway. I don't think most people would want to offend another, Vomit is a tad too far.

'okay i have to admit that dude made me gag when he said that.' I don't think that's saying something nice to me just because I mentioned another artist who I enjoy.

I had to tell two London twits to shut up or get out and go chat their crap in a coffee shop. All the way through they were going on about how they didn't know her music as they were two young and had got the tickets through some thing at work. I was raging all the way through that they were so disrespectful. Plus it was my Birthday when I went and a big bloody deal that my partner managed to get tickets! After they finally shut up, some big bald scary looking but lovely bloke thanked me for saying some thing!

John Chisholm and what does a NON nauseating group of people look like ? I suppose they look just like you of course. By the way the "normal" British girls were the ones who made me most sick, and even I still liked them because they are human beings. There is so much violence in the world this summer and yet you get "nauseated" by a group of people eager to have a positive experience.

Patrick Kennedy Kate was also a Madonna fan for many years. Dunno if she still is.....
@Inyourlap10 жыл бұрын
Patrick Kennedy Well Kate never badmouths anyone. She was asked what she thought of many singers including Madonna, Gaga, Beyonce and always found something nice to say about them... I'm not sure this means she enjoys her music. Same for Madonna or Lady Gaga. She's a polite Lady.
@brianjosephestanislao351110 жыл бұрын
Like most of us, Kate is not an art critic. Whether she spoke well (or ill) of other artists has little bearing on the art they produce.
