The biggest part of being a good worker, is having the right attitude as you carry out your duties. That’s what a supervisor looks at first and foremost. Otherwise, all that so-called hard work you’re doing goes out the window. I am currently dealing with an employee like RG right now. I think that Chandler did try to reign her in but she fought him every step of the way. Everyone thought he was the problem. Now Ross is bosun, he deals with her in the exact opposite sort of way, and she’s still acting out of control. So what can we conclude? The common denominator is the one who is the problem.

Actually in the “real world” she wouldn’t have been fired... as captain lee has said in other interviews, all he saw was her working hard (ergo he would have no reason to believe say chandler who clearly as lee said “had a hard on” for her- not in a sexual way but basically had it out for her... chandler was a disaster too though).... happens in the “real world” all the time... also some of those fights, I would say rhylee was in the right - especially with chandler... like when he blamed her for leaving things out when it was actually the other deckhands).. same as liars like Caroline in the real world who try to get ppl in trouble or avoid work with fake excuses .... I’ve worked for companies where liars moved forward as well as companies where ppl broke the contract they signed about behavior and safety regulations and yet received the most praise and no negative feedback or firing for breaking the contract .... also went to a uni where certain profs favored students they pushed ahead (objectively they were F students, but subjectively they got As, despite having seemingly no knowledge of the subject matter)...it’s never fair and not everyone knows everything...

The consistent theme I see in this show is disregard for chain of command. No one wants to do what they're instructed. They complain or cry. Issues shouldn't have to reach the Captain, and wouldn't if the underlings would just do as instructed, and started from a frame of respect. Rylee is probably the most glaring example of this - but - her work ethic is excellent. I wonder how she would have gotten along with Eddie.

From what I’ve seen on TV, the only time Rhylee gets overly aggressive is with Ross, because he always was super nice and seemed to treat her as a friend. Other than that, every time she got aggressive was well deserved by the other person in my opinion. I really am captivated by Rhylee, and from what I see, it seems like the viewers are too. I would be sad if she didn’t make some sort of return to Bravo. Shit I’d even watch if they gave her, her own show as a captain in Alaska. Before, I only watched the show for Kate, now I watch for Kate and Rhylee. Although I must say, this seasons whole cast seemed extra likeable, and I wish it was all of them for every season. But with chef Ben instead lol.

Kate was a mean girl bully this season. Granted she didn't have the best third stu's but she dishes it out but can't take it. I hope Capt. Lee saw the real side of Kate watching the show. She would have never told Caroline she had an hour to get off the boat if Capt. Lee was there. I would like to see Kate with Capt. Sandy...she 'd be walking the plank, I'm sure.

Capt Lee said he asked Laura her side of the situation however, no matter how it's put Laura was in the wrong. Laura was yelling within listening ear-shot of the guest, Laura clearly stated the turndowns were done and when Kate checked Laura didn't do her job fully and got mad that Kate checked her worked. How ironic that as Laura is telling Kate to "check herself" she's yelling while Kate is just standing there calmly. Captain Lee also said in the clip that Laura initially went on the offensive however, as they continued to talk she realized how her own actions were wrong.

Rhylee admitted she had an anger issue and she is the problem and does t know how to change it. She was frustrated because she was working her butt off and just wanted to be included in the more strenuous work. Immediately it was the guys and then Rhylee so her frustration built up. She was a very hard worker and did have an attitude but she felt that she wanted to learn more and wasn’t being taught. Both sides did things wrong but because she is vocal and doesn’t back down I feel like she is getting a negative perception by people. Yet you see her working hard and listening to crew members vent and getting along when they are on downtime . She just wanted to be acknowledged and included.

yeah, you're right, but being a big mouthed baby is no way to go about dealing w issues. She's been a total brat. Sad it is, for she has a lot to offer.

Rhylee has a good work ethic but she has a bad temper. She did not like being ordered around and she took it the wrong way because she does not believe rank means anything. Ross was too nice and didn't know how to put her in her place. She doesn't respect chain of command because she's used to being in command. Ross should not have entertained her yelling and disrespect.
