Regarding what Josiah said regarding Captain Lee taking Caroline's word over Kate's, that's not what happened. Lee knows that Kate is a great employee but as a boss, if an employee (regardless of time knowing her) comes in and basically accuses her manager of harassment or bullying, he has to address it. He can't just dismiss it like it's nothing.

Caroline made everything so much more difficult and dramatic than they really were. The one scene where Kate literally said she didn’t think Caroline was faking her injury because her foot was very obviously swollen, and Caroline came storming in screeching about how it was real and that if they want to talk about her do it to her face don’t accuse her of faking an injury to get out of work. Guests even said she never knew any answers to questions or what was even going on and how to do her job hardly. She and chandler were both kind of ditzy. Can’t demand respect, has to earned. Kate can’t complain that it was rude to ask her about the allegations because as any manager would, it’s part of the job to hear both sides before completely dismissing the case.

It's now 2023 and supposedly she has been in and out of legal trouble including being charged with larceny in the 6th degree (whatever that means). She's a real mess and it's very sad

In real life… someone like Kate would probably be in trouble for how she treats people she doesn’t like or is slacking off…sarcastic and demeaning at times. That said..Carolyn needed to leave days before she did…the mosquitoe bite thing was overdramatized bullshit…no fever, no purulent drainage, no red streak= no infection…the swelling was an allergic response to mosquito bites known as 🦟”skeeter syndrome”… I have the same reaction…one small seemingly insignificant little mosquito bite and I develop a lot of swelling and warmth to the area…simply take an antihistamine, ice it every couple hours and elevate the limb above the level of the heart…takes about a week to resolve….Carolyn was a very strange duck…very negative, very rude and out of line…bubye to her butt!

Everytime the deck crew was messing up they cut to Chandler in the crew mess drinking coffee or eating. He also would send himself to bed first almost every night. The absolutely laziest person they have ever had on this show. How he became a bosun anywhere idk. Maybe only on boats his dad captians.

That is so harsh I think she is just doing her best not everyone can handle being far from home working on the bottom of the rank and no feeling part of team. I think she wasn't perfect but how she was treated at the very end by kate totally unacceptable - it was borderline get authorities involved. The bullying was so disturbing to see. I love how Ross stepped up and in he has the BEST heart! Two wrongs son't make a right being cruel was the thing that was hard to see by Kate who I have always liked.

I love how Captain Lee is straight forward, he says it like he sees it. I have high functioning aspergers and I like to be told exactly what people feel so that I can correct my behaviour if and when needed. I've got a lot of respect for him and it broke my heart when he spoke about how his son passed away (I think we are a bit behind here but also I do watch repeats so I'm not exactly sure when it happened). Ten years ago when I was 32 my doctors told me my life expectancy was 2 years. I had to give up teaching and being a solo foster Mum. They were truthful in that I was that close to death but for some reason I'm still here even though it's in a diminished capacity. I remember my Dad begging doctors to find a way to save me but the truth is I was having uncontrollable bleeds and cheated death many times and that was only one part of my health that was life threatening. The look on Captain Lee's face when he was talking about it with boat guests who had a similar event in loosing a child made me cry because it was the same look my Dad had when talking to my palliative care team. So Captain and Mrs Lee I want you to know that your family are in my prayers and I thank you so much for sharing such a catastrophic event because I know that many people out there who don't talk about it are now able to express their feelings knowing that other people are in that black hole and are climbing out of it. Captain Lee you are amazing and please never underestimate how many people / families you have touched with your opening up about it. Xx

Yeah it was sad to see Capt. Lee so upset by Ashton’s being drug into the water by the tender boat line, which was filmed in 2018. Capt. Lee lost his adult son in 2019 to an accidental overdose, so he hadn’t suffered the loss yet, but was aware of his son’s long term drug abuse problems.

Find it kind of interesting that Caroline hasn't been holding back on the allegations against Captain Lee, Kate Chastain and Josiah - and has been very vocal about "The truth" coming out at the reunion, to now suddenly say that she won't be attending the reunion. While I firmly believe that Kate's actions at the end - blasting the music, making comments about checking her bags etc... were completely beneath her and definitely was not appropriate, Caroline had the ability to stop or reprimand Kate officially for her actions. Caroline did none of those things - but instead lobbed serious accusations against the crew and then ran.

Adrain was spot on with Caroline spot on. Her vibe was draining even on tv like a dark cloud manic like. BUT THE THING people need to see in life we have seasons she may not be this way in a few yrs or not this way yrs before. Just a time in her life where she is fragile. The young lady sounds like she has been through A LOT and was simply just trying escape really from her home stuff with her folks. I completely Understand. INSTEAD of JUDGING her, see her with her story. See not everyone can be evolved to tuck away heavy stuff. I think Caroline should have chosen a job closer to home but still away enough to heal and find herself. Hopefully she will see this season and realise some stuff that usually she wouldn't. The sick stuff being baby like to Kate feeling deeply hurt of talked about and portrayed is completely normal, when people are not so fragile it doesn't break them, they wouldn't be happy but they wont unravel. I think she just chose the wrong formula job for her only. She also needs to look at how she used Kate as a mother figure so when Kate let her down it wasn't really kate letting her down it was heavier for Caroline it was her mother... Some therapy too is sooooo needed and killing her anger with some chill would be a good idea. She needs confidence with building friendships she seems to struggle to do this perhaps its just too much all on one tiny boat with cameras. I hope she evolves and finds peace to what she loves.

exactly!! Captain Lee was exactly absolutely Correct !!,Regarding Chandler. NO LEADERSHIP and he lost it making the whole crew pay for Ashton. That's the exact point his Ego, (probably from Alcohol) Caroline, should have given part of her tips to everyone, for not being able to walk, even if she got ice cream for everyone and shared her tips with Josiah and Kate. They worked hard through the two tours. the service and not to mention, the Credibility of Captain Lee and Crew. They both stood up and worked extra hard to please guest. Chandler is meant for private correct. He has a huge ego. definitely not Leader material. He needs to work from the bottom up. Spoiled probably. Caroline, needs to improve her work ethics. Just caught a rerun of CAROLINE'S quitting. WHAT A JERK SHE IS! Kate covered for her through foot swelling, sinus infection, and total anxiety attacks. She said constantly how she could not handle the stress of the job. So, instead of acting like an adult and just saying she did not feel comfortable and wanted to leave, she attacked Kate and played whiney victim. She wad NOT a victim. She has serious problems writing all those crazy lies about Kate. She owes them a HUGE apology! Now, with that said..Kate acted like a mean girl putting that speaker outside Caroline's room. NOT acting like a professional at all. It lowered my opinion of Kate. I hope she never acts like that again. Mean girls are bullies.

Really learned a lot from Kate and become a wiser person from captain Lee. This really encourages me to want to pursue to be an interior deckhand. I love to be a server assistant in fine dining table cloth service style restaurants but serving has passion and patience. Besides I have ADD with type 1 bipolar and I really love to do laundry and press things out and from what I seen flipping the boat seems like a fun thing that would soothe and take perfect Direction

A) Chandler dug his own grave plain and simple - he was NO Bosun period!!! And for them to point out that Kate and Josiah where being bullies - they should look in the mirror - it's EXACTLY what they were doing to Rhiley. B) While I did NOT agree with what Kate did at the END of Caroline's stay - Caroline is NOT the victim she was portraying. When you bust your but for 5 Star service with people as demanding as these, and you are at the doctors EVERY time it hits land and can't carry your weight - who breaks glass every where and DOESN'T say anything about it. Kate could have been PERFECT and Caroline still wouldn't have been able to handle it at all. When you require a script to keep you on track - not ok!!

But one thing I felt watching this and knowing no-one, was that Chandler was a bully and tried to cover his own inadequacies by putting the blame on everyone else. Raylee certainly wound him up, but it would have happened anyway.

I 💯 agree. Caroline was DEAD wrong for resigning the way she did and making a spectacle of it on the boat for all to witness, after not even fully working the last 2 or 3 charters. And then to decide you're just going to sleep in the next day when you gave a resignation notice, which means you intend to work until you leave. She was not a guest on the boat and had no right sleeping there if shes not working there. That being said Kate is in a supervisor position and you just can't engage with a subordinate that way. And Josiah so desperately wants to be liked by Kate that he just kept instigating. Kate and Josiah were both wrong. And I'm sure Kate wouldnt have done all that stuff if Captain Lee was on the boat. For the 2 of them to sit here trying to defend how vile they acted is disgusting.

Little Miss Stamper i feel that Rhylee was the sexist person in this show. It felt as tho she signed up for a RAMBO audition instead of a teamwork situation such as yachting. From her own words it seems she wanted to handle heavy equipment and machinery, should have applied at construction site. Very aggressive with team, filthy mouth, defiant, rebellious = IGNORANT

Their was another bosun that would diminish the role of a female on another season before. But rhylee is the third deck hand, they always get stuck cleaning and organizing. Plus helping out when needed. She is being listed as her for her role. She wasn’t hired as second or first deckhand. Plus she complains about her jobs she already has while complaining about not being challenged or used for strength.

I get what people say that they both kept carrying Caroline also this industry is really tough but as a chief stew the way she and her puppy reacted putting a speaker at her door and the way they spoke about her it was bullying. If she doesn't like someone she talks like shit to them all the time, look now with Laura. I hope Captain Lee does look back and watch clips of the way Kate carries on and sees the bullying that she regularly gives. If anyone else in a normal working industry acted like Kate in some situations we could easily be sacked for it, it's called a discrimination and harassment

My opinion, Chandler didn't know how to do his job, lots of times he was lost about what to do, schedule, and he would just blame Rhylee for everything, while Ross would explain stuff especially because Rhylee didn't know the stuff, and Chandler would just put her apart. Kate, she would always stick with Josiah, and many times both would be in her bed eating old Cheetos while Caroline did everything, and they got upset when she was injured, even then she did more than them

Kate does her job extremely well, but she is not a nice person--and thinks she is above criticism. Getting rid of Caroline was fine, but she didn't need to ridicule and bully her. Captain Lee had every right to question Kate. I don't care if they are friends off the show, on the boat she is his subordinate. The fact that she got her nose out of joint because he questioned her just tells you how entitled and untouchable she thinks she is. Captain Lee totally wimped out in dealing with Kate on the boat because he didn't want to piss her off. Not a good look for either of them.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate a bit (& don’t get me wrong as I’ve always loved Kate)... Not once though did I ever see Kate show Caroline how to make a drink or teach her how to do really anything else of significance for that matter. I’m sure there were things we weren’t shown, but it obviously wasn’t significant enough for producers to show us (unless I missed something?). Considering a 3rd stew is an entry level position with zero to very little experience, you would think Kate or Josiah (either or both) would’ve taken Caroline under her wing to show her the ropes. Instead, Caroline was sequestered to the laundry room for the majority of the time or left alone to figure things out on her own. I get there’s likely stuff they didn’t show that she was taught, and I understand the swollen foot issue complicated things, but Caroline still could’ve done a variety of other things too while using a stool (like learning how to mix drinks). She always seemed eager & willing to learn in my opinion, and I think a lot of her flustered stressed out attitude was precisely because of her lack of experience or training, plus frustration with feeling like the 3rd wheel (which was justified in my opinion). A group of 3 is a very tricky number (especially to lead) as someone is usually always going to feel like the unwanted nuisance 3rd wheel, especially when they are a little bit different & the other team members click so strongly. In this case, Caroline had multiple factors working against her fitting in with 2 very strong & successful personality types. Having personal, family & health issues only further contributed to her mental state & made her more emotionally labile, further complicating an already touchy & tough situation. The 2 people with the most experience in this trio also shouldn’t have been tied together at the hip like they were when there was a 3rd stew clearly in need of mentoring who was really left to her own devices. I wonder if things would’ve been different had she been taken under one of their wings? Caroline didn’t & hasn’t handled everything appropriately, but that doesn’t mean we should lose all compassion & empathy for a fellow human being who is clearly struggling. Reminds me of the saying “there but for the grace of God, go I.” We all have our own crap to deal with in life, though not all of us have learned the skills necessary to cope or have a good family or supportive friends in place to help see us through. I pray she gets the help she needs to heal from all this & move on from her 15 minutes of fame.

She was a certified stew and has worked on other boats before she should have known how to do something as simple as getting orange juice squeezed and ready for guests as a prep if she was on the early morning shift. The last breakfast she served was a hot mess because she couldn't even get drinks out. Just because someone is 3rd stew doesnt mean they aren't trained it just means the 2nd stew has more experience or time being a stew. Yes I agree the music blaring was uncalled for but she was asked to leave the boat and should have been up and packed if she was done working. Perhaps she thought shed have 3 days to leave as she was given by police when her mom called to get her out of her home. She did not seem upset laying there putting on lip gloss she was acting like it was all a joke writing a manifesto to present to Captain Lee. Shelly Tarbet ...sorry I must’ve forgotten that or was thinking of other 3rd stews in the series from previous seasons. Obviously Caroline embellished her experience or had gotten by in the past with doing the bare minimum. Either way, according to everything I’ve heard them say in this series (in addition to online resources): “This is an entry-level position and a stewardess will work under the supervision of the chief stewardess. Duties include food and drink service, bartending, table setting, cabin preparation, and general housekeeping and laundry for both guests and yacht crew.” Caroline obviously struggled with her skill set & I think more could’ve been done to teach or mentor her. Plus if anyone could turn someone into to an excellent stew it is Kate, but she seemed entirely too busy being besties with Josiah & banishing Caroline to the laundry. Of course, there are some people who are completely unteachable & I suppose that could’ve been the case as well. Or maybe they knew she was on the verge of snapping & they hired her for the dramatic element which is great for ratings (which is cruel & I wouldn’t put it past producers). Like I said, I’m just playing devil’s advocate here, plus I like to consider all sides. I just really feel for anyone with obvious mental & emotional issues who’s in an underdog scenario & think she may have been exploited a bit (though now she is making it worse for herself by all the social media involvement). Either way, she clearly can’t help herself which further speaks to her mental state.
