Thats y bakers use "cake flour" ... To combat the anti-caking property of icing sugar

Interesting. Here in the US the anti-caking agent in icing sugar is almost always cornstarch.

And your sugar is cane sugar, it’s because of lobbying.

@@nvrluki7608 Yep. and it's cornstarch in the icing sugar because the government hugely subsidizes corn, making cornstarch cheaper than stone (again, lobbying).

Phosphoric acid dissolves the enamel on your teeth and weakens your bones...cornstarch is the safer option. Moreover, icing sugar can be purchased readily without additives in the states. Its not lobbying. Quit spreading lies.

We would say that's the difference between 'pure icing sugar' (which tends to clump) and 'icing mix' (which doesn't). In some places they use corn starch instead

The majority of the icing sugar available here in the states at our local stores has the cornstarch in it. We can get icing sugar without the starch but you have to go to specialty stores usually to find it.

@@chrisashby4497 There's a brand or two that use tapioca starch: this is overpriced, but useful for folks with an allergy to corn. The other choice is grinding small batches of sugar in a coffee grinder.

There's no actual organic matter in tricalcium phosphate... it's a mineral at this point. So it's vegan.

I never used icing sugar. I make icing by blending sugar with cornstarch. Its very simple. You just add butter and blend it together until it has standing peeks. Mine hardens to hold things like sprinkles and large cookies. You can flavor it with different flavors too. I like all natural ingredients.

I find it interesting at the beginning of these videos, when they call various producers and distributers and ask them to explain exactly what it is they sell and none of them has the faintest idea. I find it staggering how many people are terrible at their jobs and have no real idea of what they are doing.
