My grandfather died when I was 12.

The human eye has normal vision and when one person claims to see ghosts and the person next to them says no I can't see ghosts. The person making the claim has the burden of proof so either one person is lying or the other person is telling the truth. It's ignorant to think that these phenomenon can't exist and I think it can all be backed by science. We have senses like sight and touch, but I believe most people have become out of touch with their intuitive sense of feeling, which is what would allow someone to see a "ghost" (or perhaps its just energy of a person that continues to persist in physical form). I have a lot of precognitive experiences, mostly through dreams. Way too many and too specific for them to be coincidences. We are all made of energy and that energy is constantly connecting with other energy. Meanwhile, most people only use a small fraction of their brain power. If you think about it all from that perspective, there's no reason NOT to believe that there are many truths beyond our current understanding of the world.

Can we store consciousness in an organic body? Is that organic body now a human? A living soul? I've come to believe this is mostly due to brain structure, the ability to see things not perceived by others. One day we'll understand it but I do believe Teresa Caputo was studied. For instance I had a dentist who could read auras, now we have a name for it. Synesthesia. We're all "electrical" beings who give off pulses. It's not so far fetched as some might think.

I bought a really nice 3 bed 2 bath home. I later found out that right across the road is a segment of "The Trail of Tears". I never believed in spirits until one night. I was sitting at my dining room table doing some beading work. Everyone was asleep and the house was quiet. Out of the blue, someone/something slugged me in the upper arm. I mean REALLY slugged me! I turned the lights out and went straight to bed. Then about 1 month later....late at night sitting at the dining room table again working on my beading and I hear a loud knock on the door. We have 3 entrances to our house......everyone was asleep....I turned on the porch lights at every door...and no one was there! Needless to say......there is something to say about spirits.......

My sister is able to see dead people! I remember years ago my sister and a friend of mine where walking at a park to get home and the park used to be a cemetery! Huge story and the next morning we where having brunch and she told her that all those people she was speaking to where not actually there. Every person has varying levels of emotional intelligence. If a person's emotional intelligence has more depth, there intuition, ability to pick up on energies, and claircognizance is going to have more strength in validity. Increased emotional intelligence comes from paying close attention to the social cues aspect of your interpersonal relationships and you learn to pick up on stuff from how specific someone's statements are, how logical their statements are, and tone of voice. Don't gaslight yourself and allows trust your instincts. You will know if a situation your putting yourself in is safe or dangerous but don't allow other's influence to make you believe this. Even people that have mental illnesses that have impulsivity and compulsivity does not mean that they 24/7 cannot control these urges. Ever human has a certain level of self control. Even serial killers admit that we they do is wrong but they for some sick reason find it more pleasuring that it makes them feel good inflicting pain upon another person rather than the damage it does to themselves. There's got to be a healthy balance.

Yes I believe some ghosts are people that have not yet crossed over. Many are confused and don't realize they're dead so they're stuck here until they figure it out or get some help crossing. I believe animals have souls and can come to visit us after they die to watch over us. It's wonderful that you got to witness it! My little dog, Remy, was with me for 16 years. I had to do the hardest thing any pet owner ever has to do and put him to sleep because of his bad health. He was suffering & I had to do what was best for him and not be selfish but it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. He wore a collar with metal tags that made a very distinct sound. After he was gone, I'd still hear that sound multiple times so I knew it was him. I also feel him jumping up on my bed to lay with me and snuggle just like he did while alive. I didn't see him with my eyes but I felt him there. It happened a lot right after he died. It's less now but I still hear and feel him sometimes. It's a comfort to me and I think that's why he comes because he knows how heartbroken I am that I had to let him go. I swore I'd never have a pet again because it just hurts to much when I have to let them go. Then I met my beautiful cat with golden topaz eyes (my birthstone) and I knew he was mine. His name is Topaz, of course! 😁
