Kate Raworth, rethinking the economy with the Doughnut

Kate Raworth has been working for many years to adapt the economy to the realities of the 21st century. In particular, she is behind the Doughnut Theory, which proposes an innovative method for rethinking the economy to meet basic human needs and preserve the environment. A method that inspires the University of Lausanne in particular, since it has been adopted by its Centre de compétences en durabilité (CDD).
How can the economy transition so that human needs become compatible with planetary limits? Can the Doughnut Theory be applied to any type of structure? How does UNIL seek to apply it while continuing to meet its social mission?
Kate Raworth will be the guest speaker at the University of Lausanne on Monday February 19, from 1pm to 2.30pm swiss time (12pm to 1pm30 GMT).
Although the economist will be speaking remotely in English, this event can be experienced in public, in the Nucleo room (Vortex).
