Beautifully haunting. Perfect name for this song. It's been on the back of my mind for over a week

I like to imagine the first part is from the view of the deceased wife, and the second part from the husband. Either way it's beautiful. Love your work kate.

It's actually about an experience Kate had in her house which dates back to the 1600s where she thought she saw a tall figure dressed in black and when she got closer she saw that no one was there. It turns out her nephew, Joshua; her husband, Damien; and her mother, Ann all had a similar experience in the house. I found out about it in a video of her performing it on KZbin.

Looks like a lot of the footage is from North Brother Island perhaps? Seems like there'd be a lot of ghosts there with sad tales from the past.

I like to imagine the first part is from the view of the deceased wife and the second part from the husband. Either way, it's still hauntingly beautiful. Love your work kate.

Hey, which is the lyric of the song? I can´t understand all the song because my English is not very well, I'm from Mexico.

Hope this helps. Oh dear, my heart is taken from my chest, Oh dear, my heart is taken, I can never rest, And by the moon I can feel your heart beating, By the moon I can hear you call. Here in the dark my love wonders on, When the cruel morning comes, Then again he's gone, gone. Gone, gone. Brave though the stars they make me I can't breathe, Brave though the stars they make me I can never leave, And by the moon where you walk I can follow, By the moon I can hear you call. Here in the dark my love wonders on, When the cruel morning comes, Then again he's gone, gone. Gone, gone. When all the world it sleeps and the moon plays host, When all the world it sleeps, then I see your ghost, By the moon, there your pale lips they haunt me, By the moon, in your tender arms it daunts me, By the moon I can hear you call. Here in the dark my love wonders on, When the cruel morning comes, Then again he's Here in the dark my love wonders on, And the cruel morning comes, And again he's Here in the dark my love wonders on, When the cruel morning comes, Then again he's gone, gone Gone, gone Gone, gone Gone, gone Here in the dark my love wonders on Here in the dark my love wonders on Show less

Hello, who was this video made by? I know where most of this was shot, but not who put this together. I didn't realise it wasn't an official video! Who is in this ? Thanks.

meh...I like her live version better. Problbly because that's the first one I heard. This one sounds too perfect, as though she was audotuned.
