Well, the difference between them is the leather. Most of the retail bag is 100% of full leather while the outlet is the split leather. Plus, this bag from retail is made of lamb leather while the outlet bag is made of cow leather. because lamb leather is too pricey for selling in outlet. More over, if you purchase any leather bags or wallet in retail store, you get a year of warranty while the service in outlet it just 1 month of warranty. The design of the bags for selling in retail store is different from outlet and some how during bigger sales, retail price will be more reasonable after the discount too! Not sure how you can tell the difference between cow and lamb leather. If the style number starts with a p or a k, it's retail. If it starts with a w it's outlet.

From the looks both bags look quite nice. For more than $100 difference I would pick the outlet bag in a snap.

as per quality i like the retail one better. the stitching looks neat, the structure is quite sturdy, but the leather seems nice and soft. also even the retail one is smaller but it will hold more stuff since it doesn’t have zipper compartment in the middle which separates the front and back of the bag (based on my experience middle zipper compartment will only limiting how much you carry your stuff with you). also the retail bag has a closure😍😍

@@fragrancesbagsandsuch4079 I have only had 1 bad from the coach outlet rip. I'm actually taking it back today to see if it can be repaired or replaced. The bag ripped 2 years ago so hopefully they can help me. I personally think the quality is just as good as the boutique stores.

No, they’re NOT both retail. Can also tell from the lining and pattern for the lining. The outlet one she bought was made for outlet.
