DiCaprio himself was said to be incredibly arrogant telling James Cameron he wouldn’t audition and just expecting to be offered the role at the meeting. I think James Cameron really cut him down to size by making him realize he wouldn’t get the part at all if he didn’t test.

Below is from RadioTimes. Was starting to believe it may have been McConaughey… But after not booking the role of Jack, he was offered the role of Cal [and declined]. Sisto on the other hand, presumably, wasn’t offered the role of Cal. This makes me think Winslet is referring to Sisto. >> "I went and auditioned for that, I wanted that," [Matthew] McConaughey said during an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast in 2018. "I auditioned with Kate Winslet. Had a good audition. Walked away from there pretty confident that I had it. I didn't get it. I never got offered that." 
This wasn't the only part he almost ended up playing in the film, either - he was eventually offered the part of Caledon Hockley, which he declined.
 Meanwhile, Sisto said in a 2015 interview with The Huffington Post that he was "a little heartbroken" to have lost out on the role after doing multiple screen tests. “It’s always fun to see a movie that you know really well and love with this alternate-universe person in there," he said. "So while I was a little embarrassed to reveal one of my many failures in life, at the same time I couldn’t deprive Titanic lovers of seeing that alternate universe.”

Oh I think she is talking about Jeremy! I remember reading this interview he did and he talked about auditioning with several different actresses before he got to Kate. I like Jeremy Sisto but yeah he does come across as arrogant at times...
