The Canna Cabana In my opinion this video and the music video for 'The Sensual World' are one of the best music videos Kate Bush has EVER made. She is the most consummate performer and artist. There is more than 100% passion in every music video she has made in her career. What is even more incredible, is that the stylistic expressions from most of the music videos she has made in her career have not come from music industry stylists, but from Kate herself.

Lyrics: It lay buried here, it lay deep inside me It's so deep I don't think that I can speak about it It could take me all of my life But it would only take a moment to Tell you what I'm feeling But I don't know if I'm ready yet You come walking into this room Like you're walking into my arms What would I do without you? Take away the love and the anger And a little piece of hope holding us together Looking for a moment that'll never happen Living in the gap between past and future Take away the stone and the timber And a little piece of rope won't hold it together If you can't tell your sister If you can't tell a priest 'Cause it's so deep you don't think that you can speak about it To anyone And you tell it to your heart? Can you find it in your heart To let go of these feelings Like a bell to a Southerly wind? We could be like two strings beating Speaking in sympathy What would we do without you? Two strings speak in sympathy (What would we do without you?) Take away the love and the anger And a little piece of hope holding us together Looking for a moment that'll never happen Living in the gap between past and future Take away the stone and the timber And a little piece of rope won't hold it together We're building a house of the future together (What would we do without you?) Well, if it's so deep you don't think that you can speak about it Just remember to reach out and touch the past and the future Well, if it's so deep you don't think you can speak about it Don't ever think that you can't change the past and the future (What would we do without you?) You might not, not think so now But just you wait and see, (Someone will come to help you.)

Queen Kate Bush. I just love how you can see her spiritual journey throughout her albums. Previous albums-particularly The Dreaming and Hounds of Love-dealt with doubt, insecurities, facing and working through inner demons. This album The Sensual World is her having healed, gone through her spiritual journey and reached the other side into confidence, self love and compassion and is now inviting you to join her in these revelations. Urging you to keep going, to know that this world is better for having you in it. You will be able to heal and live a life full of joy and magic and opportunity. This song in particular I think speaks to that. Her bathed in sparkly gold throughout and then playfully flinging a handful at you at the very end with a joyful "Yeah!" Yeah, you've got this! I watch this every time I need a pick-me-up and it never fails to put a big smile on my face and tears in my eyes. She puts so much love and compassion and magic into each and every one of her songs and I'm very happy that so many of the younger generations and even older generations who hadn't previously known her are becoming aware of her creative genius. She deserves that. More of the world needs to be exposed to the power of her music. Thank you Kate Bush. The world is a better place having you in it.

And she included her beloved Dervishes and the Ballerinas. So good. But to Kate, she wasn't even sure what the song was about after recording it. Kate: "This song! This bloody song! It was one of the most difficult to put together, yet the first to be written. I came back to it 18 months later and pieced it together. It doesn't really have a story. It's just me trying to write a song, ha-ha." Only Kate could write a song so magnificent and just chalk it up to a songwriting exercise.

All these men must have found it hard to be in love with Kate Bush and work with her at the same time!

I bought this CD the day it was first out. I played it very often back then. I still occasionally dig it out and listen to it, it's great work. But... until this very day, I had NO CLUE that was David Gilmour playing that riff that I always liked. Wow.

The musicians on this album with Kate are great. David Gilmour's guitar on Love And Anger is excellent. The late great Mick Karn on bass. This is one of my fav Kate albums.

This is Kate at the absolute realization of her rock & roll power. Hairs stand on end, Bass oozing sensuality. Rhythm elegantly churning and embracing the intimate message. Absolute soul to the vocals. Electric witchery in the end cadence. Hope reigns. Her best record.

Her music craft is like none other. Just on another level, with no excuses or hindrances tying her to a predetermined genre.

Great to see the man who got her signed & got her career going David Gilmour helping out It practically made me cry seeing him near the end It's like it's all come full circle! Oh & did anyone notice Richard Wright too! (RIP) Kate & 2 Floyds! Art/Prog rock heaven! & a great song to boot!

"Don't ever think that you can't change the past and the future. You might not, not think so now, But just you wait and see--someone will come to help you." That's it. The world can shut up now. The perfect words have been spoken by the best one of us.

I have been listening to this song since 1989 and only just this minute did I know "someone will come to help you" is what's being said in that line (!). Omg, my heart... this is indeed perfection. **Someone pass the tissues please**

This has always been one of my favorite videos. Just something about Kate holding the orb and scepter, the ballarinas and the dervishes. It's an imagery that's simple, but complex. I wish they would have left the glitter out, but in the 80's it was like a rule that all artists must have at least one video with a glitter shower.

@Kevin Larsow Just David Gilmour... he helped her in the beginning of her career and, as we see here, performed on some of her tracks...

It was David Gilmour that got her into the studio and signed with EMI when she was still a teen.
