I wish our spotlight had Lion brand Ice cream cos I knit a lot of baby cardigans & have had to buy some from USA & similar from Ice yarns Turkey. I also love a lot of your bright variegated yarns that we can't get at Spotlight here in New Zealand & we pay more for our yarn in New Zealand Spotlight than Australia cos it costs more in Postage to get to us.

one visit to Spotlight a couple of years ago had me leave with 19 bags of mill ends...and I think they were half the price, hence why so many...I find it hard to control myself with these bags, but only when on sale, any other time I might only grab a couple or three..

I find that yarn is fairly pricey in Canada as well, compared to the US, but you 'win' the expensive factor. I always love a good deal too. Great haul and lovely yarn :)

I literally want to cry.......that is a place is where dreams are made of!🤗💜❤ I know exactly what you mean about expensive yarn, I just use a lot of super saver stripes which is a lion brand yarn and affordable. Lately they have been softening the yarn better. The yarns made in India or Turkey are just so much softer than the ones made in China., so that's what I look for! I love a bargain and at our dollar tree store you can get premium cotton for a dollar! Which is amazing!

OMG yes I feel you with the buying online struggle, I have to feel it first. Only time I buy it online is spotlight and only products that I have used before 😅 My cotton winner here in Australia is the Makr 8ply from lincraft as I prefer their weave over flinders and they stock soft and pastel colours (as I specialise in children’s blankets and toys it’s ideal) but everything else I get from spotlight 👍

First of all, love your new intro! 🧡 you found some great things! I love it when there is a big sale on yarn, but like you said it doesnt happen very often. Here in Canada I have a local Michael's craft store and sometimes I will go in and they'll just have a random load of yarn on clearance!! I got giant balls that were meant to be $18 for $3!! Unfortunately it's totally random so unless you go in all the time you dont know if there is anything. I think the price for stuff in australia is pretty similar to here. That ball you had I think they sell here for $9 plus tax? So that would be almost the same as your price...

Idk about the rest of the states but LionBrand here in the Mid South is not high at Wal Mart in store. It’s higher online. The Hometown U.S.A is like $2.88 and the Heartland is maybe $4.88. I live In the actual Heartland maybe that’s why it’s cheaper haha. Even online at Michaels the Heartland is only $5.99. I just looked at that exact skein on Joanns website and it was $4.50 on sale usually $5.99. I saw a comment saying it was $10 but it isn’t not in my area or online at most stores.
