Amanda and Lincoln of Our French Chateau you tube channel, have a menagerie of rescued animals...when they are able to safely catch feral cats they take them to the vets and have them vaccinated and neutered. Kate is a great hero for kitties. Right now I have 13 cats because a neighbor will not spay or neuter and skimpy on food, so they end up here. Two kitties prefer to live outside with heated beds. All are spayed or neutered treated and vaccinated. I have lost count of the many I have rehomed. Mama Moon, your fox shirt is awesome.I see deer and mushrooms, just wonderful

My son visited a cat cafe with his family which rescue cats from Saudi Arabia and he warned his partner that they weren’t taking one home but a few weeks later Chester has landed in England and will be with them this weekend

Ironic that I watch all your video's and this comes in today. We had to put one of our two girls down yesterday. We are crushed. Lucy and her sister have been with us for 13 years and I couldn't ask for better fur babies. Lucy had bladder cancer. We couldn't let her suffer any longer and it was the right thing to do. I have a furry hole in my heart today. Lucy loved to have tummy rubs and loved to be brushed. She let us know when it was feeding time and when she wanted fresh water. The home will never be the same.

I am so sorry for your loss. My previous cat Bunni lived to be 19 1/2 years old. I had her since she was 6 weeks old and it was so hard to put her down. I did not want her to suffer so I did what I had to do with love. It took me 10 years to get another cat and now I have had my cat Sophie for over 3 years now. We love them like they are children and they bring us so much joy and laughter.

She has some beautiful cats! I’ve always been partial to cats. Occasionally I wii adopt an older dog. I love beagles. I live in a rural area in the states & we’ve never had to adopt a cat. They always have just found us. Cats are dumped around here a lot. 😊❤

Our French Chateau is a brilliant and very funny channel with an American couple called Lincoln and Amanda. They have about 15 cats living in their Chateau and Amanda feeds the local feral cats, she also humanely traps them and takes them to be neuteredm at her own expense. There are a lot of good people in the world who need recognition for their good deeds. Amanda is one of them ❤❤

I love animals! At one time we had the space and funds to take in extras. Now I have one dog and he’s a rescue with his fair share of issues that takes a chunk of change. I wish I could have more again, but it’s not in the cards at the moment. Bless you all for what you do!!

I, too, rescue cats. I've had as many as 65 at one time. But, I'm older now and partially disabled so I've cut back, especially after a neighbor's dog broke into my yard and killed every cat/kitten that didn't jump the fence. The dog even busted into the cattery and killed the cats in there. I was devastated. I told him to relocate that dog because if I ever found it in my year again, it would not make it out alive. I also have rescued many stray dogs and a rabbit! Sadly, financially, I still have my hand full here. Good work. You are Blessed!

I'm an older rescuer as well. Isn't it fantastic to know we are leaving rescue in the good hands of a younger generation? When I started, volunteer rescue was almost unknown in the US Midwest. Now, people picket pet stores selling animals!

I’m very allergic to cats, so I can’t have one, but I’ve always wanted a black rescue cat. A few years ago I found a very emaciated burmese kitten hiding under my horses water trough. He was so sweet (I was disappointed I couldn’t keep him), anyway I took him to the vet next door (they were also disappointed their cat didn’t like other cats & couldn’t keep him), & one of the other vets adopted him. I was so happy he went to a home where he’ll be loved & very well taken care of for the rest of his life.

In past years I have volunteered with my brother and sister in law at Toledo Keeping The Faith which is a wonderful cat rescue facility in Southern Wisconsin, USA. The monumental job they do rescuing homeless and feral cats is amazing. Last year I adopted a 6 month old kitten from Toledo. He is an established family member now.

I always say rescue takes a village! I help people setup rescues here in Toronto. First thing I tell folks they have to learn how to become effective fundraisers if they overlook that they will quickly become overwhelmed second thing I say they have to be in rescue for the right reasons (it’s not money) so people need to soul search and be real and have a very understanding partner and kids because it’s expensive and all consuming. They would give up a lot of family time, kids don’t understand and end up rescue sour. Third build a big group of fosters it’s impossible to do it without the help fosters and volenteer.

Aww the kitties are so blessed to be there safe from harm etc ❤❤❤ We have 3 abounded cats … Luna ( his real name)and and a slick jet black cat we renamed “ Inky “( he’s part Oriental )are at my shop… we have been feeding them both since January this year as they lived next door and their family moved to Australia and left them behind 😭 they are nearly 3 years old…. And both are beautiful but Luna has had 2 brake downs and some days he just does not eat … he brakes my heart every day he comes into the shop and sits beside me for pats and sometimes a little cuddle on his terms … he’s loving the “good boy” Affirmations🥺 You can only pat and stroke Inky but not pick him up .. We have a few folks helping me when they can with donations for their food ❤ And at home we have Smokie whom took 10 weeks to catch and she’s a Pedigree Burmese and scared of the outside so she lives inside and is crate trained etc …We have had her 1 and 1/12 years No one wants adult cats here 😩

Feral cats are best adopted to farms with barns or sheds where they can help control the rodent population and have a safe haven where they don’t have to be around people if they don’t want to.

Jen. Why don’t you put Kate in contact with Cat House on the Kings in California. The lady who runs it has a no kill no cage attitude and can have up to 1000 cats at a time.
